As always thank you for all your weight loss questions this week. Here is a summary of the questions asked and I hope Lose Baby Weight has answered them for you and that we are continuing to help you all to lose weight, get healthy and have lots of energy!
- Q1. Motivation – how do you get it if you are lacking? Motivation has to come from within and we have HEAPS of motivation in our motivation section in our blog – click here to get motivated now and remember it starts with one small step and you will start to feel better straight away!
- Q2. When depression hits and you want to pig out – happens to the best of us at the time of the month. Best thing to do is damage control and have a positive mental attitude – see our coping tips here and limit the damage
- Q3. Best fruits and nuts – see our blog here on the best nuts for weight loss and for fruit stock up on apples, pears, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, watermelon, pineapple, berries and melons
- Q4. Past diet failure and wanting to start on the Lose Baby Weight ones but worried as others haven’t worked – we have a 30 day money back guarantee so fret not and our are VERY different to others out there – see what real mums say about our plans here too
- Q5. Too hot to exercise – try yoga instead – easier to do and you can do it indoors with the fan on – see our yoga work out here
- Q6. Rice noodles – are they the same as white rice? Yes, and soba noodles are the best to use as they have high fibre and nutrition in and are very quick to cook too.
- Q7. Weight loss maintenance on our plans – follow the same healthy eating principles on the plans and have a similar lunch to your dinner and if you are hungry have a healthy snack and if you are exercising then eat an extra snack
- Q8. Chocolate substitutes – go for dark chocolate – 80% cocoa. It is more bitter but gives you the choc hit you need. Carob is great too – not sure the bad wrap you are hearing (unless it is the mass GM brands?) but in summary Carob has it’s own natural sugars similar to what you find in honey and fruits. It contains 3 times as much calcium as chocolate. It is high in fibre and protein. It is full of antioxidants and polyphenols. It is low in fat (contains about 1% fat compared to 24% fat in cocoa. It is high in vitamins and minerals (contains iron, vitamin B, phosphorus, and magnesium) and it doesn’t contain any harmful stimulants such as caffeine, theobromine, or theophylline
- Q9 Healthy swaps for baking – swap all white flours for wholemeal. Swap butter for applesauce. Swap sugar for honey and see here for lots of dessert/baking makeovers to low fat and low calorie sweets
- Q10 – Lunch ideas – try some of these salads for great lunch ideas or bulk up these snacks for a perfect lunch too
