Every month, a mum who is on the Lose Baby Weight plans will be writing about their journey, exercise, ups and downs and will be here to help motivate YOU and THEMSELVES along the way.
If you’d like to become our Motivating Mum for the month click here to find out more (we pay you for it too!).
Eleanor Hannah has been motivating us all with her posts for the past few weeks.
She has already lost 20kg and has overcome some major obstacles along the way.
You can read Eleanor’s first, second and third posts here.
Today we have her 4th post, where Eleanor decides to set some new goals for herself after hitting a bit of a plateau. If you’re keen to find out more about setting goals, click here.

Now, over to Eleanor…
‘So I was feeling pretty low last week.
But I took a photo of myself on Mother’s Day and compared it to a picture I took almost a year ago.
To be honest I was pretty blown away by the change and actually proud.
I know I should never have let myself get to where I was, but I made the choice to change and get healthy again, and I’m getting there.

My clothes are fitting sooo much better and I have so much more energy. My skin is much better too.

I have been sticking with my organisation (yay me!) and have been getting up every 2nd morning at 5.40am and getting all the bits done before kids wake up. Things like lunches, dishwasher, washing etc.
Then I’ve been going to the gym after the school drop off.
Then when I come home the kids have a nap and I can do other things (sometimes even things for me!)
Getting up that little bit earlier just gives me that extra time in the morning.
I’ve had to donate some clothes (now I need new clothes!) as they don’t stay up anymore – cause there’s nothing to hold them up.
My workout pants don’t stay up anymore. So when I’m walking or at the gym I’m constantly pulling them up – which probably looks pretty funny – but to me it shows my progress, and how far I have come.
So last Friday I decided to re-evaluate what I wanted for myself as I did feel I was getting stale.
Earlier in the week the owner of the gym I go to asked how I was going. I said I felt pretty flat and needed to get my oomph back.
She said she has found that people that do really well by losing a lot of weight and getting so close to their goal can hit a wall.
She said they sometimes also sabotage themselves, whether that’s by eating the wrong foods, not putting the effort it, or just mentally self sabotaging themselves.
That sparked something in my head, and I could see that I was starting to do that. I didn’t want to be that person who gave up before getting to where I wanted to be, so that’s the reason I needed to re-evaluate.
So my goals, which I’m going to do in 8 week blocks.

  • I need to stop beating myself up mentally for not being able to do things, and celebrate the little things.
  • I really want to get down to 70kgs – mainly because that was what I was after I got married almost 5 years ago.
  • I want to get my body fat percentage down and my muscle up.
  • I want to be able to run (I can’t run to save myself he he)
  • I want to be able to jump (sounds silly, I know)
  • I want to make sure I’m eating enough calories. I check mine using the Lose Baby Weight BMI calculator which also tracks what I’m eating daily.
  • Drink more water.

My favourite meals from this week have been the Healthy Roast Dinner on Sunday (not cooked by me wahoo!!!)
And the Chicken Stirfry from the 28 Day Planwas delish!
I am looking forward to Pumpkin Soup tonight that I got all ready yesterday which is from the 28 Day Plan too.

Have been loving Watermelon Smoothies, wasn’t sure how it would taste in a smoothie but it rocks!  and my warm smoothies in the morning as it’s getting a bit cooler. It tastes kind of like a hot chocolate but much more tasty and filling.

lose_baby_weightSpeaking of awesome how awesome are the Vertical Leg Lifts in the 28 Day Diet and Exercise Plan.
And how when you’re doing it your kids will join in too!
My almost 3 year old loves doing the exercises. She tried to tell me yesterday I was doing it wrong (ha ha!).

My little 1yr old is good to use as a weight for bicep curls when she’s clingy 🙂
Also wanted to mention my new love of Body Balance!  I always loved yoga and body balance pre kids.
So I have pulled out the old yoga DVDs and have been doing them at home.
My miss 3 always wants the “Yogurt” on 🙂
Healthy Mum = Healthy Family 🙂
