Today we are catching up with mum of two, Chaye Challacombe who has lost over 23 kilograms so far with Lose Baby Weight and the Lose Baby Weight community. You can read Chaye’s past posts HERE and HERE
Hope you all had a great week. If not, don’t worry because it’s a new week which means new opportunities! Everyone has a bad day or week sometimes; it’s about picking yourself up and getting back into a healthy lifestyle. I think if you can do that, you know that you have truly changed your ways.
One of the most important things for me so far in my weight loss journey and on the Lose Baby Weight Plans has been setting goals, completing them and then rewarding myself for it. When I started, I set myself some smaller goals and then a big ultimate goal. It could be to weigh under a certain amount, lose a dress size or your first 5kg, 10kg etc.
If you set smaller goals like that it won’t seem so overwhelming or make you feel like you are never going to get there. At the end of each goal you should definitely give yourself a little reward, because you definitely deserve it! This should definitely not be a food reward though, that could just be a step in the wrong direction. Give yourself a gift instead- buy a new outfit, get your hair or nails done, do something to make you feel as beautiful as you are looking in your hot new body!
So this week I am still feeling very energetic so have started challenging myself a bit more when I am exercising. I have been jogging a lot more during my walks and have been adding more hills into my route where I can to increase the intensity. I am starting to feel so much fitter and really enjoying being able to run a lot more.
I have also been doing basic boot camp like workouts in my own backyard a few afternoons a week while my boys play outside. I think the only problem I have is making myself fit exercise into a busy day. This is where the new exercise DVD from Lose Baby Weight is going to help me. I am SO excited to get my hands on a copy when it comes out!
I have just completed week 2 of the 28 day plan in combination with The Healthy Mummy Smoothies and the 28 day Plan has some delicious recipes on it. My favourites for the week have been the beef stir fry, chicken and steamed veggies and the vegetarian pizza with ricotta. The other times that I have done the plan I actually didn’t try the pizza because it has sweet potato on it and I never used to like it. But I am so glad that I have been trying foods again because I actually have found that I love sweet potato.
We all have foods that we didn’t like as a child, but I think that you will find that as you get older you might actually tend to like the foods you once hated. So if you are anything like me in that department, keep an open mind and try a food that you “don’t like” again. I am actually going to make that a goal for the next week.
I have been trying new healthy mummy smoothies and since I have discovered so many new flavours I have gone back to having them twice a day because I just love them so much! I have actually noticed a boost in my milk supply since then also. My son was becoming such a fussy feeder but he has settled down again now so I am so grateful! My favourite for the week was a Raspberry Vanilla smoothie. It is so yummy! Just 2 tbsp vanilla smoothie mix, 2 tbsp low fat vanilla yoghurt, ¾ cup raspberries, 1 tbsp oats and 200ml low fat milk.
I lost 900gms for the week which I am very happy about. Since starting as a Motivating Mum in August I have lost 2.6kgs and 23kg in total on the Lose Baby Weight Plans! With another 2 weeks to go this month I am feeling very positive. I would LOVE to get under 70kgs, I have not been under that mark since I was 18.
My goals for the next week
-Do some healthy baking. My son loves cooking with me and we haven’t done a lot of it since I changed my eating habits. So we are going to discover some healthy treats.
-Try some foods that I previously didn’t like, just to find out if my tastes have changed or not.
-Keep pushing myself with the exercise
- Weight- 71.8kg (down 900g)
- Bust- 96cm (down 1cm)
- Navel- 95cm
- Waist- 85cm (down 1cm)
- Hips- 110cm (down 1cm)
- Thigh- 63cm (down 1cm)
I am feeling positive that this is going to be another great week, I am having a fantastic month and I hope you are too! Just remember that success starts with the decision to try, so as long as you are trying, you will succeed!
