Over to you Chaye!
Lose_Baby_Weight

‘Hey Everyone!
Hope you all had a great week this week! I have been back into it this week after giving myself a bit of a break. Now when I say a break, I don’t mean that I went back into my old eating or exercise habits. This is a lifestyle change and it is permanent. It was more that I gave myself a maintenance period, where I didn’t put as much pressure on myself to reach big numbers on the scales each week.
I continued to lose or maintain my weight each week in this period, I just needed to tell myself to relax and stop stressing if I didn’t lose much one week. I was always worried about what would happen after I had reached all my goals, if I would find myself slipping back into old habits. But now I feel confident that I will won’t and my weight will be easy to maintain. And the best part is that now I feel more motivated than ever to finish losing this extra weight!
So I think one of my tips would be to just give yourself a break! As long as you are trying, you are doing better than your old self. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, we are all different and lose weight differently. Just aim to be better than what you used to be. If you have a bad day or week, just aim to do better next time. As Mum’s we put way too much pressure on ourselves as it is. So just relax, as long as you are trying to change it will happen! We are strong and can do anything we put our mind too.
lose_baby_weightOne of my goals for this month is to get back into exercising every day. This week I managed to exercise 4 of 7 days which I am very happy with considering I have had a sick baby and husband. By the end of the month I will be doing something every day though. The exercise I have been doing this week is mainly walking, however over the coming week I will also be adding a full body workout every 2nd day also.
I have had an excellent week with food. I have just started the 28 day plan again and seriously these recipes never get old, they are so tasty and very easy also which is a lifesaver when you are a Mum! Especially when you do have sick little ones like I did this week. I have a few personal favourites from the plan, this week it would have to be the chicken stir fry. I have this all the time, it is just that good.Healthy Food
I am in a smoothie rut at the moment, always having the same one every day. My favourite at the moment is very simple. It is just milk, yoghurt, blueberries, chocolate or strawberry Healthy Mummy Smoothie powder. If it is a warmer day I always add ice too.
So this week I have bought some new ingredients to try in them. I have some blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, spinach, apples and more! I can’t wait to try some new combinations and hopefully discover some new favourites.
lose_baby_weightI lost 1.3kg this week which is awesome! I was very surprised to see that when I hopped on the scales. This does mean that next week may be a small week though. I find that if I have a good week like that, the next week the next week I lose a small amount. But that is fine with me as over the month I am still losing a fantastic amount. Any week that my weight is smaller than the last week is awesome.
One of my goals for the month was to reach a healthy BMI. This week I have achieved that and I am so proud of myself for getting there. I surprised myself by getting their sooner than expected. 6 months ago, I never would have thought I could do it. It just goes to show that 6 months is more than enough time to change your life.
My goals for next week:
I will drink more water. I read some of the other Mum’s saying that they needed to drink more water, this made me wonder if I was drinking enough and it turns out that I haven’t been. So this week I will be sure to drink more. Water is especially important while breastfeeding like I am.
Walk at least every 2nd day and in the day in between do a full body work out at home. (I will talk next week about what I am doing for my workout)
Try at least 3 new smoothies
My measurements for the week:
Weight- 73.1kg (down 1.3kg)
Bust- 97cm
Navel- 95cm
Waist- 86cm (down 1cm)
Hips- 111cm
Thigh- 64cm
You will be seeing me post on the Lose Baby Weight Facebook page over the next month and I am looking forward to seeing you all on there!’
