So far the start of January and the start of 2015 have been great!
The 28 Day Challenge has started and I am impressed yet again. The challenge exercises are kicking my butt and making me sweat so much, I love it! WOW I cannot believe I just used sweat and love in the same sentence. I hate (hated?) sweat and exercise 6 months ago.
I have gone from doing no exercise to exercising every day! I can feel myself falling in love with it, I love the way it makes me feel and I love the way it is making my body look. If you had told me 6 months ago I would telling the world how much I enjoy exercise I would have just laughed and never believed you.
For all those starting out, have faith that it does get better and enjoyable. You don’t have to try and do it all at once either, I gradually worked up to my exercise. For four months all I did was walk and then from there I slowly introduced running, then the challenge exercises, HIIT exercises on non-challenge months and then the Healthy Mummy DVD, and now I am doing a mixture of everything.
The food has been amazing, I have been hanging out for new recipes! I have been exceptionally impressed with the Zucchini and Caper Spaghetti, it looked so simple and boring so I was sceptical about trying it but I am so glad I did. It was so tasty and took less than 10 minutes to cook! And it also got the tick of approval from my fiancé, so big win there! It will defiantly become a regular meal.

Since my last blog, I am now down to 95.3kg. That’s a 23.8kg loss since starting Lose Baby Weight in July 2014. Sometimes I look at other peoples before and afters and they have lost less than I have but they look like they have lost way more. Then I need to remind myself that everybody’s journey is different, and everybody loses weight differently too, not to mention all our bodies are unique.
So ladies don’t fall into the comparison trap, it will do you no good at all. You may not see how far you have come, but I can guarantee those around you can and you have most likely come a lot further than you realise. It takes a lot longer for the mind to catch up with our bodies so focus on the now, focus on each positive step towards a healthier and happier you!
I fell into a bit of a funk before and during Christmas, I was totally unmotivated and just couldn’t be bothered. It was a horrible feeling. But I am happy to say that since January 1st I am back on track and feeling fab! So today I thought I would share with you all my top 3 tips for getting out of a funk and back on track.

  1. Do up a motivational board:
I thought motivational boards were dumb, I didn’t see the point at all. But now that I have made one and put it somewhere I can see it, I wouldn’t be without it. Put up your main motivation for losing weight, for me it’s my son, my fiancé and the fact that I want to look HOT for my wedding.
  2. Write down a weekly meal and exercise plan:
I was already writing down a weekly meal plan, they are great and make things so easy as you know exactly what to buy at the grocery store and you don’t have to think about what to eat. So I decided to write down my exercise plan too. It has made me so much more accountable and I feel great once I have it all ticked off for the day.
  3. Have some me time:
Take some time out for yourself and do something you enjoy and it doesn’t have to cost you any money either. Sit down with a cuppa and read a book. Have a nice long shower with a coffee scrub and face mask. Paint your nails. Do some sewing. It can be anything as long as you are relaxed and have the time to yourself. It will help get your head back into the right headspace.
