Every month, a mum who is on the Lose Baby Weight plans will be writing about their journey, exercise, ups and downs and will be here to help motivate YOU and THEMSELVES along the way.
If you’d like to become our Motivating Mum for the month click here to find out more (we pay you for it too!).
This month we continue to be motivated by the weight loss journey of Motivating Mum Eleanor. You can read some of her previous posts here and here.
Today Eleanor reflects on how far she has come on her weight loss journey, as well as her incredible results on the scales.
Over to you, Eleanor!
‘Today I thought I’d write a small post about the scales and photo taking.
When I began my journey with Lose Baby Weight (having the healthy mummy smoothies, 28 day plan and now the DVD too) I started taking photos of myself, and I have used these photos as a great motivator along the way.
6 weeks after I had Layla (in April 2012) I weighed 102.8kg’s, and that’s when I started exercising and making changes in my life. When I started with Lose Baby Weight on the 7th June 2012 I was 98kg’s.
Even though some weeks and months the scales don’t change much your body sure does 🙂
Today I weighed myself and I weigh 71.9kgs. So since I began my journey with Lose Baby Weight I have lost 26 kg’s and in total since I began losing weight I have lost 30.9kgs.
My 3 year old is 15.4 kgs and my 1 and almost a half year old is 12.4kgs. So I’ve lost more than the weight of both of them! To me, that’s pretty awesome.
I get tired carrying one of them on my hip let alone both of them!
What I wanted to get across in this post was even though some weeks you lose no weight or some weeks you lose 200g it all adds up:)
For me I’m not at my goal weight yet so I’m still on my journey. I still follow the 28 Day Plan for the exercises and probably 80% of our family’s meals. Most days I have a Healthy Mummy Smoothie for two of my meals. I love them even over a year down the track 🙂
My weight loss has not been quick at all it has been a slow and steady weight loss.
No matter where you are on your journey take a picture of yourself. You may not like it now but in 6 months you will look back and see how far you’ve come.
That will encourage you to push towards where you want to go.
It’s not easy at all, especially with kids. I have 3 that keep me on my toes but I have kept pushing myself to become healthier for my family so that I am here for them for a long time.
I say this to myself lots and lots. Do not use your children as an excuse not to exercise and get healthy -
use them as your reason to exercise and get healthy. Be a better person for them.’
