I have used my fair share of blenders over the past 2 years – none more so when I was losing 14kg of my own baby weight and focusing on losing stomach fat.
And when I was losing my pregnancy weight I had two delicious smoothies a day from the Lose Baby Weight Plans and my blender got a thorough work out. Then as I loved the smoothies so so much I have since had one for breakfast every day as they are so easy to make and fill me up for hours – plus give me excellent nutrition so I think I am pretty well qualified to know a good blender when I use one!
I had always spent under the $100 mark on the blenders I have used and they have always done the job well and made tasty smoothies, but 2 months ago my old blender packed up and I decided instead of buying a new one every 6 months that I would splash out and get one that lasted and was really good quality. So after much research I decided on the KitchenAid one that cost $325
I was very excited to try it for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! This was the Rolls Royce of blenders and blended up my smoothie in much less time and the best bit was the way it was blended – it blended so fast and so efficiently that my smoothie was sooo smooth it was like a Mr Whippy ice cream.
It tasted even nicer than normal and I can’t believe I haven’t been using it to blend my smoothies for the past two years! And even my husband swears they taste even nice as they are so well blended.
So yes, they might be a tad more expensive than the under $100 ranges but trust me it is worth it – plus they also have lots of other functions for cooking including whisking, ice crushing and making sauces.
