How can I introduce myself and tell you my journey this far?
My name is Sally and I am a stay at home mum to 2 beautiful yet incredibly infuriating children. My 3 year old son who never stops talking or moving, and my 16 month old daughter who we call ‘The Barnacle’ because she NEVER LETS GO!
I have currently lost 16 kg on the Lose Baby Weight program with 5 kilos until I get to my goal weight.  Using the website I lost 8 kg simply by integrating the recipes into my life. Then I kicked it into high gear. I wanted to have lost 15 kilograms for my daughter’s 1st birthday in May.
Feeling defeated, with my weight loss stagnant and my supply suffering from attempting to diet I joined The Healthy Mummy and Lose Baby Weight support group on Facebook. I got so many tips on the shakes… and I am converted!
May rolled around and I weighed 72.5 kg. 13.5 kilos down in 5 months! I was so happy to finally have photos with my children that I truly liked. Plus it was great to be able to stand in front of my family and friends and be proud of my post baby body.
But I relaxed post party… indulged a bit too much while on holidays, and gained 3 kilograms within a month. Self sabotage is my middle name.  Before I had kids when I met my food loving Chef Hubby, I was a Personal Trainer. I had lost 36 kilograms on my own.
I taught group fitness, was a nutritional advisor, played soccer, did triathlons and trained under 18s representative rugby league. I was never going to get back into the things I loved unless I buckled down and focused. The incentive to teach group fitness again has seen me lose the 3 kilograms I gained back… plus another 3 to bring me down to 69.5 kilograms! The lightest I have been since primary school.
Why is my story motivating? Why are Lose Baby Weight and the Healthy Mummy Smoothies different to every other weight loss plan on the market?
A few things.
I am a stress eater. I gain weight when I am stressed and upset. I am often stressed and upset, and I usually don’t realise that I am stressed or upset… until I can’t fit into my pants.
After a pregnancy where I had constant, humiliating, exhausting morning sickness from day 1, until (and during) labour, I had to have an emergency Caesarean, and my son was in special care. My son had colic; I had PND, couldn’t breastfeed and felt generally useless. My mother would take my son overnight and all I could do for him was eat like a banshee and express over a litre of milk per day. My weight was RIDICULOUS. I am not even sure what I got to as I refused to weigh myself.
My father (who is my best friend, my confidant, and my biggest weight loss advocate) has end stage renal failure and has just begun palliative care at home. This is something that we weren’t expecting to happen for at least a few more years.  A rare result of a routine procedure has seen him decline rapidly, which as a family we were not prepared for.  We are as close as father and daughter could possibly be. Between me and my mother we do his dialysis, administer medications, drive him to and manage all his doctor’s appointments.
I have 2 small children, a partner who works 70+ hours per week and I work 1-2 days per week.  So I AM BUSY! I have a lot on my mind and in the past healthy food and balanced meals have been at the bottom of a VEEERRRY long list of things to do. But being healthy and happy, for my children, and for me, needs to be smushed into the top of my list somewhere.
Being fit, feeling better about myself and being confident is amazing. But showing my children how to eat right, be healthy, active and self assured is the best gift I can ever give them.
Thanks to Lose Baby Weight I am 69.5 kilograms. My 16 month old still breastfeeds 5 times a day and my supply is FANTASTIC!  2 weeks ago I walked into a store and bought a dress IN A SIZE SMALL! Last week I taught Fat Burner, TTT and Body Pump, then 2 days later taught Body Pump and Pilates. I feel the best I have in years!
I truly believe  Lose Baby Weight and the support it provides has set me up for continued weight loss and eventually  maintenance , despite the curve balls life throws me, the stress I have ahead and the failed weight loss attempts  of my past, I will be able to lose my last 5 kilos and conquer the world.
