After reading the Lose Baby Weight website and seeing that I could still breastfeed my then 3 month old while using their healthy mummy smoothies, I decided I needed to try it and everything about it lived up! While I was pregnant with my new addition, now 6 months old, I told the doctor I was not happy, just before giving birth I was weighing 122kg (BMI 39.8)! Was I ever going to find myself again? I felt like all this weight was literally suffocating me and making me sad. I avoided photos because I did not like the way I looked. At my 6 week post birth check-up, we discussed my weight again, I was 109kgs (BMI 35.6), 3kgs heavier than when I got pregnant with number 3.

I procrastinated for 4 or so weeks, November 12th 2012, my life changed, I ordered smoothies and the 28 day diet. I was actually impressed with the texture and flavour of the smoothies. December 17th I was 99kgs and all of a sudden I could move and I was loving the daily emails from lose baby weight, meal ideas, smoothie ideas and exercise motivation. They kept me going. My husband has even lost 4kgs just eating their meals.
Sometimes it was hard and I particularly remember the first 10 days being the hardest, I stopped putting sugar in my tea. I used honey. I was sitting there feeling like if I just ate some junk food I would feel better, but I had to break these habits. I would share these bingeing feelings with my husband, sometimes on the edge of tears. He reminded me like Lose baby weight did that this would not make me feel better and that I was doing awesome. This was a tough time for me because there was still so much of this food available in the house. But I stayed strong.
When I started the healthy mummy smoothies I set up a lose Baby weight profile in the weight loss tracking area (which is all free) and I set a goal weight of 75kgs, I had recently decided that I am making it 70kgs. Because not only have I enjoyed the journey but Lose baby weight has really made it feel EASY to do!
I lost another 10kgs over January, making me 89kgs which was what I weighed over 6 years ago. Over February I made it 84.3kgs with a BMI of 27.5, and in March I got to 76.5kg

April Results

I left behind March as the motivating mummy it was a wonderful month with exceptional results! I have met so many milestones and positive goals since my lose baby weight journey become – you can read Linda’s past weight loss story up to March here
April I followed the 28 day diet and exercise plan while having my Healthy mummy smoothie at least once a day, usually breakfast as that is when I am pressed most for time.
They are yummy and I seem to not be sick of just having my same favourite combinations. I am usually rotating 3 flavour combinations. The great thing about having a baby eating solids now is I usually give her half a banana and throw the other half in my smoothie.


I have enjoyed the compliments that are flying in from everyone I see, someone even pointed out to me that they only knew me as a ‘larger’ person – I did tell them it obviously meant they have only known me since having my first baby.
I love the second takes that people who know me are giving me.
I absolutely love my winter warmers menu in my 28 day diet and exercise plan, I live in a colder area in the hills and these meals make me feel warm and full and satisfied.
I often pass it over to my husband and ask him to pick the next few days of dinners and shop for the meals he will enjoy as well.
The one thing I have learnt well from Lose baby weight is that this is not a cliché diet, THIS IS A LIFE STYLE CHANGE! I am in this forever!
I could not be happier with how far I have come from 8 months ago when I was about to give birth to my 3rd child and weighing 122kgs – since then it is more than 44kgs gone! I reflect and realise I was in an ever growing state, I felt like it was easier to never diet again and I even remember saying to friends that I will never go on another diet. And I haven’t! Don’t give up hope, stay true to yourself.
When I was pregnant with my 3rd I spoke to my doctor about having gastric bypass surgery, I didn’t think I could do this, even my doctor is amazed at my awesome results (below is a picture of a graph of my results from the weight loss members area – all free of course on the Lose Baby Weight site!).

It has been an amazing journey; I remember crying in the first week on Lose baby weight smoothies because I felt ‘hungry’ for bad food. I remember puffing and panting on walks that had me shaking and unable to move afterwards, walks I could only do once a week or I may have very well died. ; )

I can express milk easily for my baby because my milk supply has never been better, I even have to wear nursing pads because I started leaking milk all the time.
I look back on my journey to date with so much joy and delight and find it hard to remember how I got myself to the place I began. I don’t feel like I am starving all the time anymore and I feel like normal portions are big and filling. I feel I can leave food on my plate should I feel full, YES I can recognise I am full. I don’t clean everyone’s plate up after meal time.
All the energy the healthy mummy smoothies have given me is amazing.
My original goal was 75kgs and when I lost the first 10kgs I decided that I could make it 70kgs as this puts me in a better place on the BMI scale and not ‘just’ in the healthy range.
I love feeling fit, I love looking fit. And more than anything my 4 year old daughter tells me she likes that I am not fat! The example I am setting for my kids will hopefully last them the rest of their life. And I can go on having energy to play with them while enjoying the long term health benefits.
