Tasheena Snow shares her tips with Lose Baby Weight on how to do exercises at home while having a clingy baby/toddler attached to your hip!

28_day_challengeHi everyone I’m Tasheena and I have been following the Lose Baby Weight plans for over 14 months now and have lost 39kg, you can see my progress here.

I’m a Mum of 3 beautiful children under 5 years so I know all about the clingy baby/toddler or the teething bubbas and sick children. Who sometimes make it feel like it’s day after day and week after week and you think “When am I going to find some time, I can’t even go to the toilet without a child or 2 strapped to my leg?”

If your little koala doesn’t want to be put down, that is ok. You still can be active and do your fit bit for the day. It doesn’t take much to see results. Little bits here and there really add up.

Sitting Down

  • If you find yourself sitting down on the couch or chair or wherever, do some leg raises.
  • Raise both legs at the same time, hold your core and squeeze your glutes/bum cheeks and see how many you can do plus see how long you can hold your legs up for.
  • I usually have another child sitting on my legs and I use them as extra weight resistance.

Standing

  • While holding bubs or your toddler do some squats, sumo squats or side lunges.
  • Whilst patting bubs to sleep in the cot or singing a lullaby, try alternating raising your legs back while holding onto the cot.
  • Also, whilst holding your hips still move your stomach side to side, I do about 30 of these a day and find it great for my core.

Laying Down on the Floor

  • If you’re laying down on the ground, try laying on your side and do some side leg raises.
  • Lay on your stomach and do some scissor legs or alternatively, raise each leg up and down and keep your core tight and legs straight.
  • Lay on your back and do some bicycle legs, like riding a bike with your legs in the air.
