Hello to all my lovely healthy mummies,
I’m so excited to announce at my mid December check in I am down from 83.6 to 63kg! Thats 20.6kg all thanks to Lose Baby Weight and the Healthy Mummy! I have smashed my Christmas target woohoo! I’d like to share with you how my month has been so far in December and how I have stayed on track!
Christmas is just creeping up on us! I thought I would start getting in the spirit by using my Christmas cookbook, I made the Christmas Bliss Balls, they are amazing! So quick and easy to make. My family polished them off very quickly! I’m so excited to make some of the other recipes in the lead up to Christmas and the new year!

This month I have mostly been eating recipes from the November 28 Day Challenge. The easy spinach and cheese pie and the roast tomato and capsicum soup have been my favourites, so easy to make a few portions and store for later.

I have been experimenting with different Healthy Mummy Smoothies, I have been having healthy mummy smoothies for breakfast religiously since I started back in July, but as I am on the go a lot during the middle of the day, a veggie smoothie is perfect to take with me where ever I go and so easy to drink whilst out and about. I also find that adding an extra smoothie gives me more protein which I need to help build more lean muscle and the high fibre content keeps me full and prevents excessive late afternoon snacking…

My favourite breakfast Healthy Mummy Smoothie is…

Blue Banana Boost!

  • 250mL coconut milk/skim milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla HM mix
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tbsp dessicated coconut
  • ice

Blend well and enjoy!

My favourite lunch smoothie is…

Pear Spinach Cooler

  • 250mL coconut water
  • 2tbsp Vanilla HM mix
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1/2 cup watermelon
  • lemon juice

So December has been a great month for exercise! I am now running 10km! This has taken months and months to build up to, I decided to take the plunge and sign up to do a half marathon in August 2015!!!
I recommend committing yourself to a fun run or sporting event, it’s really motivating to have to push yourself and build your fitness.
I’ve been repeating the November 28 Day Challenge exercises and I can see a massive difference in the tone of my arms/shoulders and my thighs. It’s so impressive how such short simple workouts can give such great results!
I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of the ladies on the Private Lose Baby Weight and Healthy Mummy Facebook Support Group, if you haven’t joined this page already, you MUST! The ladies are so supportive and inspiring on there, it keeps me motivated and I love sharing my progress and others sharing theirs!
