This month we meet Motivating Mum Teagan O’Callaghan who has lost 8.9 kilograms on our Lose Baby Weight plans.

Teagan’s Update

“This week has been great; I lost the most I have whilst following the lose baby weight program. It may be a coincidence, my hard work paying off or the fact that I’m now a motivating mum and doing the summer challenge.
This week I lost 1.2kg and I am now 82.5kg and so much closer to my goal of being 80kg by the end of September. I also lost 1cm off my bust, 2cm off my waist, 2 cm off my hips and 1 cm off my thighs!


I have done a lot in the past week exercise wise, not only at the gym but with the family as well. The Royal Adelaide Show was on last week so I took my daughter and we walked around for about 4 hours and you don’t even notice the time go by, it’s great! Then on Sunday all the family, babies in toe, went to the zoo and we walked around for another 4 hours! This time I used an exercise tracker app I have on my phone and tracked how far we had walked and how many calories we burned. After 4 hours we had walked 5.5kms and burnt 600 calories! What a week!
My daughter is a great motivator for going for walks too. She loves the pram and if its inside will often by mid-afternoon linger around it, hinting that she wants to go for a walk. She will even climb up onto it and stand in the pram! I’m glad she does this, even if it is a bit annoying if I’m in the middle of something and she really wants to go because it gets me out the door and exercising.
Without her I would probably stay at home and find things to do but once we’re outside walking along the beach it is so refreshing and I feel so much better about myself, even if it’s just a quick 30 minutes up and back. It’s so easy to get into a slump and not get out and about, us mums have so many things to do already and sometimes we just want to relax but I find that if I stay inside all day, whether it is playing with my daughter, watching TV or just catching up on some lost sleep I feel quite tired and lazy but if I push myself to put my gym clothes on and get out of the house it’s incredible how wonderful you feel afterwards so even when you feel run down, tired, or just want a rest day still try and get out and about, even if it’s just around the block because I guarantee you’ll feel so much better afterwards!
I am LOVING the 28-day diet and exercise plan printed book. The recipes are so yummy and simple too! The healthy spring and summer cookbook is filled with yummy recipes that even had my mum oohing and aahing!
I’m really enjoying exploring the lose baby weight website in the morning and trying new healthy mummy smoothie recipes a couple of times a week, whether it be the weekly new smoothie recipe or a readers smoothie recipe I’m loving them all. This week my favorite was the strawberries and cream recipe submitted by a reader, it was delightful. I have been using a lot of the recipes in the daily emails and this week I made the curried sweet potato and lentil soup, which was delicious.
This coming week my goals are to try more of the recipes from the 28-day diet and exercise plan printed book and the healthy spring and summer cookbook and keep up with my regular exercise regime whilst pushing myself that little bit further, whether it increasing my weights at gym or going the extra km on a walk. I am also starting a new fitness class that I am super excited about! It’s becoming a lot more popular these days and from previous experience it is great for weight loss and muscle gain and very fun (and a bit sexy too ;P)… can you guess what it is? I will reveal all next week!
