Breakfast is arguably the most important meal of the day, especially when trying to lose pregnancy weight.
Having a healthy, nutritious breakfast really sets you up for the day and if you make the right choices at breakfast then you will have a greater chance of following your healthy eating plan throughout the rest of the day.
Many of us can get stuck in breakfast ruts with our food choices, opting to eat the same things each morning due to habit or lack of time and imagination.
Having different, creative breakfast options to choose from is a good way to make sure that you eat breakfast, which will keep your blood sugar stable, your metabolism firing and your energy levels high.
This simple-to-make, delicious Super Fruit Breakfast ‘Sundae’ is packed with calcium, vitamin C, and fibre, and will be popular with fussy kids who try to skip breakfast.



  • Quarter of a cup of reduced-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 x orange, peeled
  • Quarter of a cup untoasted, fruit-free muesli
  • 2 x Kiwifruit, peeled
  • Pulp of 1 x passionfruit
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Optional Extras:

  • Top with a thin layer of shredded coconut instead of muesli
  • Substitute the kiwifruit with blueberries, raspberries or strawberries
  • Use mango or pineapple instead of orange


  • Chop up the orange and the kiwifruit into small cubes.
  • Blend the kiwifruit in a blender and layer in the bottom of a clear glass, tumbler or jar.
  • Add a layer of yoghurt and then drizzle the yoghurt with the honey.
  • Sprinkle a layer of muesli on top of the yoghurt and honey, then top with the pulp of a passionfruit.
  • In the blender, blend the orange until it becomes pulpy.
  • Take the orange pulp and layer on top of the passionfruit and muesli.
  • Top with another layer of yoghurt, then sprinkle the rest of the muesli on top and serve
