Hi Mummies,
I am really excited about the 28 Day Challenge this month, I am especially excited about doing the Pilates exercises as I have never done Pilates before. So far I am enjoying them mixed in with our other workout sessions.  This is great for me as it has changed up my routine this month and I am not doing the same exercises all the time. The last couple of weeks I have been focusing on more toning than anything so to see more results I feel it’s good to change things up a little.
I have also started running more, I try and get a 40 minute run in each day as well as  alternate with The Healthy Mummy DVD, the 1-30 Workout and then 3 times a week I do a boot camp session. I think that if you continue doing the same exercises all the time your body will get used to it, by changing them up you should start seeing those results change as well.
I am SAHM to 4 kids and so I think it’s important for me to get a good sleep, nourishment to stay hydrated and to try and keep to a routine. It can be hard to stick to those all the time as I have 2 older kids that go to school and the 2 little ones are at home with me. However miss 2 does go to day-care twice a week so I get most of my housework done when she isn’t around to help redecorate.
Nourishment is important for energy, if we don’t get nourishment our bodies will go into starvation and we will burn out really quickly. We need the good foods not the bad stuff.
Keep drinking plenty of water; it is important to keep hydrated. If you get sick of drinking plain water, try and mix up some defused water or have a green/herbal tea. I carry around in my hand bag some grapefruit and pineapple green tea to put into my water bottle if I want something different.
Have you tried the Healthy Mummy Smoothies??? I’m still trying to figure out which one I like the most. They are all pretty good. I aim to have at least one smoothie a day and my new challenge is to try as many different ones as possible. I can’t tell you my favourite yet as there is still a few to get through but the Snickers Smoothie is up there.
I’m so grateful for finding the Healthy Mummy, as it has changed my life in a huge way and although I started the Healthy mummy at 90 kilos in September and currently 77 kilos. I still have another 9 kilos till my mini goal weight which I am hoping to do by May. By doing this it keeps me motivated to get to the next weight loss so I can enjoy my bonus. I am currently 3 kilos away from my next bonus so I’m doing the extra work to get to it.
I enjoy the 28 Day challenges not just for the foods and exercises but also meeting and seeing all other mummies’ achievements on the Facebook Group and all the new Motivating Mums each time with their achievements. It’s nice to have this kind of support network and for us all to be helping each other.
Cheers
Mel Clark
