Hi Lose Baby Weight mums – another week gone already! Time flies when you’re having fun….
This weeks’ focus has been fitness. I have been really active this week and I’m really getting into my jogging. I was so proud of myself on Sunday morning by jogging 6km without stopping- that’s a lifetime record for me!
I nearly stopped about 2kms in but before I did, I chose a tree in the distance and challenged myself to keep going until I reached it. Once I reached it, I chose another tree and kept going until I got to that one. I was
amazed to check my pedometer at the end and realized how far I had jogged. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you push yourself!
I also walked the 7km round trip to our local supermarket. I was really impressed with the Coles cooler bag which
kept even my husbands ice-cream frozen during the trip home! (I also added 2 freezer cubes) The best thing about walking ‘to’ somewhere instead of just walking, is that you have to keep going until you get there, and then you have to walk home.
Early on with my weight loss, I would sometimes ask my husband to drop me off somewhere so that I had to walk home- there’s no need for motivation you just have no choice but to keep walking!
I love all this healthy eating! The 28 day diet & exercise plan has given us so many great ideas for dinner and I can’t believe how tasty all the food is!
The other night we had the Thai Chicken Salad which was amazing- I could not believe how much flavor was in that dish! I’ve also been inspired to get creative myself.
My husband really needed some pasta last week (he’s a 6ft5 brickie). He agreed to use light cream and I replaced half my pasta with zucchini strips.
Zucchini doesn’t have much flavor and also has a similar texture to fettuccine so I couldn’t even tell that it was a healthy pasta dish! I’ve also been enjoying fruit and yoghurt for an after-dinner snack but I keep my portion small so I’ve started serving it in a pretty stemmed shot glass (50c from the op shop!) with a teaspoon which makes it seem really luxurious. I eat slowly and enjoy it.
The best thing about watching my food intake is how amazing food tastes now!
I feel so good at the moment. I’m getting compliments left and right, my skin is smoother, my tummy is getting flatter, I’m feeling fit and confident. This is my new way of life and I am SO happy I chose Lose Baby Weight!
This week will be my last full week as the April Motivating Mum of the Month so I will be going as hard as I can and I’ll be changing things up a bit with my diet.
This week I’ll be having my daily healthy mummy smoothie for breakfast and having various salads for lunch. I’ll also be stepping up my exercise with more jogging, cycling and boxing. I have 1 ½ weeks to get to my April goal of 70kgs and I’m confident that I will get there!
