This week, we meet mum-of-two Kimberley who has lost 10 kilograms with the Lose Baby Weight plans
Welcome Kimberley!
Hi, my name is Kimberley Charles. I have two beautiful girls – Lily aged 3 and Sienna who is 6 and a half months old. When Sienna was born in February I wasn’t too concerned at first about losing weight. My daughter was born with a few health issues so I was more focused on getting her well and on the right track and I felt that weight loss would come in time. It wasn’t until a couple of months down the track when I was still wearing maternity clothes that I decided that it was time to do something about it.
This is my first time breastfeeding as I wasn’t able to with my first born child. Everyone kept telling me ‘the weight will fall off you if you are breastfeeding!’ Unfortunately this was not the case and I was finding it hard to lose any weight. By May I had managed to lose 2.5kg on my own but I was still feeling hungry all the time and never had any energy.
I kept reading about Lose Baby Weight on Facebook and did lots of research before starting up and decided for long term weight loss that this was the way to go. I bit the bullet and brought the 28 day plan, Healthy Mummy smoothies and fish oil caps. I started having a Healthy Mummy smoothie for breakfast and made sure I stuck to the 28 day plan the rest of the time. I was amazed at how yummy and filling the smoothies were and the best thing was that I wasn’t hungry anymore!
I had realised that what I was doing wrong was not eating until about 3pm in the afternoon and then eating all the wrong things to make up for lost time. With the Lose Baby Weight smoothies and the 28 day plan, I was eating constantly all day but all the right things. I now have a smoothie for breakfast and most days lunch and I generally choose recipes from the Lose Baby Weight website for our evening meal. Even my husband has lost weight!
I have been doing Lose Baby Weight since the end of May and my original goal was to get down to 68kg. I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 65kg!!! Everyone is now noticing the difference and commenting on not only how good I look but also how healthy I look which is my main priority – to be the healthiest I could be for my baby!
I am excited to be the Motivating Mum for September. I have started going to boxing classes twice a week so my main goal is to make sure I get to these classes each week as well as getting out walking with my girls every day. I’m hoping with the nicer weather coming up this will be more possible.
Another goal is to maintain the weight I have lost as well as making sure I incorporate meals from the 28 day plan and lose baby weight website. I also aim to get more inventive with my healthy mummy smoothies!
I’m looking forward to motivating everyone on here! I’m feeling great and can’t wait to get more active and healthy in September to keep focused and on track.
