Today we have a new Motivating Mum to introduce – Angeline Hall who has already lost 4.8kg on our Lose Baby Weight plans in July.
After the birth of her little boy 8 months ago, Angeline was struggling to shift her baby weight. Joining the local gym and improving her diet helped a little but not enough. Angeline wants to lose weight in a healthy way that can be maintained for the long term and we think the Lose Baby Weight plans are the perfect way to help her achieve her goals.
‘Hi, my name is Angeline. I gave birth to my son 8 months ago via emergency caesarean section. I was so wrapped up in my new bundle of joy, I had no interest in eating healthily, losing weight or exercising until he was about 6 months old. When I realised I was putting extra weight on I knew something had to change.
I joined a local gym and tried to cut out some of the ‘bad’ foods in my diet. For two months I struggled and my weight jumped up and down within a 2kg range. It was completely frustrating. I’d heard about Lose Baby Weight through friends on Facebook (who’d had fantastic results!) and decided to look into it.
Reading about the 28 Day Plan and general philosophy behind Lose Baby Weight, I thought it seemed like a really healthy, balanced approach to weight loss and I thought, “why not?” I had nothing to lose so I bought the 28 Day Plan and the three healthy mummy smoothie flavours to get started. The day before I started, I weighed in at 84.6kg.
I did a big shop at the start of the week and stuck to the plan firmly. Ta da! I got results straight away, losing 1.8kg in the first week. Over the next three weeks, I lost another 3kg, which added up to a 4.8kg loss after completing the 28 Day Plan. I’d also lost around 2cm each off my bust, waist, hips and thighs. I was so happy! After the struggle of trying to do it myself for two months, this plan was a godsend.
The biggest thing I noticed was the portion control. I love that the plan has exact amounts of everything in the recipes. I was eating double, if not triple, the amount of food I should have been beforehand. No wonder I wasn’t getting anywhere! The meals and smoothies in the plan are absolutely delicious and my husband loves them as well.
The best part (which I was surprised by when I started) is that I don’t feel hungry at all! Eating the right food, in the right amounts, at the right times fills you up over the course of the day. It feels great to be eating so well and even my skin has improved due to all of the fresh, healthy food I’m eating.
I’m very proud to be a Motivating Mum for August. My goals for the month are:

  • 3-4kg weight loss and 1-2cm off my measurements
  • to incorporate more healthy mummy smoothies into my diet and try some of the more ‘daring’ ones
  • to be active every day, even if that means just doing some squats or sit ups in the lounge room

I find the daily support, new recipes and information on the Lose Baby Weight Facebook page really helpful and the mum’s weight loss stories very inspiring. I will try to motivate everyone as best I can by posting pictures of my meals, smoothies and exercises and writing a weekly blog about my progress over the next month.
I am repeating the 28 Day Plan as I don’t feel quite ready to go it alone yet. I will be subbing in some new recipes I have found on the Lose Baby Weight website, which I can’t wait to try!
I’m energised, motivated and have never felt better, all thanks to Lose Baby Weight. It really is more than just a diet, it’s a complete lifestyle change and so far I’m loving every minute. I look forward to preparing my meals every day and get excited on weigh in day each week.  I can’t wait to see what the next 28 days bring!
