Hi mums, Hayley here and I have lost 33kgs* with Lose Baby Weight.
Lose Baby Weight- 33kg loss

The last few weeks have been tough. I got struck with the flu and then as I was recovering I got hit with food poisoning and then my son got hit with the flu too so it has been stressful and hard to stay on track.
I have done my best though so today I thought I would share with you my top tips for staying on track while you or your kids are unwell.

Lemon water

Start your day off with warm lemon water. Not only will this give your digestive system a boost but it will also give you a hit of vitamin c and helps with sore throats as well – not to mention it starts off your water consumption for the day.

Keep up your fluid intake

In the past when I was sick I use to drink litres of orange juice, and now looking back I can see how much sugar (even though it is natural) I was pumping into my body. It is important to drink loads of water when you aren’t feeling well. I know when I am sick that water begins to taste pretty gross so adding a slice of lemon or orange can make it a bit easier.

Keep eating

I know sometimes when you are sick you don’t feel like eating but unless you have a tummy bug it is still important to eat. You need to nourish your body with good wholesome foods so that it can heal, not to mention you need to keep your strength up so you can look after your family. I am so thankful that the food on the 28 Day Challenge is extremely quick to prepare!

Try to get enough sleep

Yep I haven’t been getting any sleep but is important in recovery so if you can early nights and maybe even sneak in a nap. My son unfortunately hasn’t been allowing any of us to sleep.

Don’t worry about exercise

You do not have to continue exercising when you are sick. It is important to rest and let your body heal itself! I know that personally if I exercise when I am unwell then I feel ten times worse. Do not feel guilty for not exercising, you need to listen to your body and give it what it needs.

Have a Healthy Mummy Smoothie!

Smoothies are your best friend. Not only are they quick and easy but you can make them one handed when your sick clingy child doesn’t want to be put down and they have a whole load of vitamins and minerals to help your body get better! They also go down easy on a sore throat.

Frozen meals

If you can stock up on frozen meals when you are well they will come in so handy when you are unwell. The last thing you want to do is cook so if you can just grab something out of the freezer it makes everything that little bit easier and you can rest easy knowing you are fuelling your body with healthy foods.

Don’t sweat the small stuff

You don’t have to be perfect when you or your kids are unwell. Just try your best, listen to your body and look after yourself.
The better you look after yourself the sooner you will be able to get back into it.
Hayley xx

I’m a busy mum of three boys 5 and under. My partner works away so it’s my children and I by ourselves most of the time. So my time is very limited and I thought that the Challenge would be exactly that – a challenge.
BUT all the meals are already planned out for me, they take 10min max to prepare and even less time to eat them because they are soooooo delish that they don’t last long on my plate.
Even my fussy eating children love them!!!”
