Motivating mum Hayley Lloyd has lost over 25kgs following the Lose Baby Weight healthy eating plans and has sent in this decadent caramel layer smoothie for us all to try- thank you Hayley!
This smoothie is a little more time consuming but it is well worth it.

Ingredients

Caramel Layer

  • 20g dried dates, soaked in boiling water for 5-10minutes (make sure you drain them before blending)
  • 10g vanilla Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix
  • 5g maca (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond and coconut milk
  • 15g rolled oats
  • 4 ice cubes

Chocolate Layer

  • 10g chocolate Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix
  • 15g cacao (less if you don’t want it strong)
  • 25g avocado
  • 15g rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond and coconut milk

Method

  • To make the caramel layer blend all of the ingredients from the list well for 3-4 minutes and then set aside.
  • Next make the chocolate layer and blend the ingredients form the list well for 3-4 minutes.
  • To assemble smoothie carefully spoon the chocolate mixture into a cup (it should be very thick). Then slowly pour the caramel mixture on top, by pouring slowly it will keep the layers separate
