Being a busy mum with 5 children I’d spent the last 17 years living an unhealthy lifestyle.
I never looked after myself and always put myself last not knowing the damage I was causing to my self esteem and the habits I was forming and example I was setting for my 5 children .
Then I found the Healthy Mummy and Lose Baby Weight support page on Facebook and sat back for a while wishing it was me achieving such awesome results and now it is me. I’m the one achieving results I never thought I could. I’ve lost over 26kg and 100 cm but I’ve gained a confidence and a self love I’ve never known.
My successful healthy lifestyle and weightloss journey started after seeing photos of myself at the first birthday party of my youngest daughter I was left with a feeling of utter despair.
How could I have mistreated myself for so long and let myself abuse my body with lack of activity and such an unhealthy diet for so long? I remember taking my ‘before’ photos and feeling so sick at what I was seeing and I sobbed and felt so sad for myself. I knew my lifestyle had to change.
So, In August I started using the free recipes from the website and information posted on the support page and was amazed at how good I felt about myself for making such positive changes in my life.
I became a challenge member after seeing immediate changes in my energy and some awesome changes in my body.

I started having a smoothie for breakfast and completed my first challenge and was astounded that I’d found something that not only worked, but something I could happily stick to and something that was so easy to follow which was of huge importance being a mum of 5 children.
I’m amazed at the variety of the challenge meals and I love that I can customize to adapt to the tastes of my family and more importantly my budget. We eat meals we would never have eaten before Lose Baby Weight and we’re trying so many new things.
I love that all my exercises are set out and planned for me leaving me with no excuses. I’ve found I’m getting out more with the kids. We’re enjoying so much more family time and fitting an active lifestyle into our daily lives.
Knowing the kids are enjoying it as much as I am is an added bonus.
I love that this program is teaching me how to nourish my body while teaching me strategies I can carry through life and teach my children.
I never feel as though I’m missing out on anything and everything is so yummy to eat it leaves me feeling so satisfied and leaves me with a sense of pride knowing I’ve done the right thing for my body.
In the past i would skip breakfast but now i start my day with a healthy mummy smoothie and I’m fuelled for whatever the day throws at me. So quick, so convenient and so yummy leaving me with absolutely no excuses to skip brekky any more.
I’m so excited to continue my journey and keep living this healthy life to be the healthiest, most active mum I can be to set an example for my children.  I cannot express enough how happy I am to have found something that works for me.
With another 23 kg to lose I know I’m doing it the right way, the healthy way and doing it in a way I know I’ll be able to maintain once I hit my ultimate goal.
