After a few days or weeks, motivation can start to disappear and everyday ups and downs like illness, holidays, unwell children, lots on at work etc can start to interfere with what you set out to achieve at the start of the Challenge. You need to remember to not feel guilty if these types of things get you off track for a few days, just get back into your healthy eating diet plan and exercise routines as soon as possible.
We asked some of our Motivating Mums their top tips to keep motivated and how to stay on track when life throws its curve balls at us.
Jessica McLeod who has lost 3kgs since starting on her Lose Baby Weight journey says:

best_ways_to_lose_weightMy top motivation tips are:

  1. Be visual with your goals. Take photos, draw up progress charts, anything that will remind you how well you’re going.
  2. No matter what, be consistent and you will see results. Motivation is what gets us going, but it’s consistency that gets us to where we want to be.
  3. Have a constant reminder somewhere of why you want to become the healthiest, fittest you! It will push you along if you’re ever feeling off track.
  4. We are all human and we are all in this together one healthy meal at a time!
  5. Try to be active every day. Whether it’s taking the kids or pet out for a walk or getting even 15 minutes in of the Lose Baby Weight DVD, your mind and body will thank you for it.

My top tips for staying on track are:

  1. Be as organised as possible! Do a big cook up once a week to freeze your favourite meals and treats/snacks so that you always have healthy, nutritious food at home. That way, no matter how busy you are, the ‘quick & easy’ option will suddenly be these amazing, yummy, healthy meals that are in your fridge and freezer ready to go.
  2. Have a Healthy Mummy Smoothie and healthy snacks on hand for when you’re out and about. This will stop you making bad food choices if you get hungry while out.
  3. If you have a sweet tooth, I believe it’s better to have healthy Lose Baby Weight treats made, to have even one a day if you need, to prevent binging.
  4. If you find yourself in a situation where you’re at a function such as a birthday dinner, opt for the best choice, then continue straight on with your healthy eating at your very next meal.
