Mum Rebecca Glenn is a mum of 3 and becomes a motivating mum for April. Rebecca has lost an amazing 15kg and will be inspiring us as much as she can while she continues to lose baby weight.
“Hi ladies, My name is Rebecca. I am a mum to 3 incredible children (ages 7, 6 and 2). I have always been borderline overweight for as long as I can remember. However it wasn’t until the birth of my second daughter and an after birth diagnosis of Down Syndrome that I completely lost myself.
Lose Baby Weight-15kg Loss

I no longer cared about myself as she became my main priority and this no doubt saw me fall into the obese category. I wouldn’t find time to exercise and had no time to eat because of all the appointments and the stresses of looking after a toddler and a newborn baby with special needs. My daily food intake soon became no breakfast, a McDonalds meal for lunch and chips and lollies for dinner all washed down with litres of diet coke.
I first heard of Lose Baby Weight when Facebook recommended that I joined their Private Support Group. However it took me about a month before I finally joined and then probably another two months of watching the ladies on there have amazing results before I finally signed up to my first 28 Day Weightloss Challenge.
I have since taken part in two and lost about 15 kilos and can finally say I am back to my original pre-baby weight even if it has taken me seven years. I have loved doing the challenges and am super excited about them becoming monthly! My favourite part of the challenge besides the quick yummy recipes and easy to follow exercises by far would be shopping lists.
As that was my major weakness! Walking into the supermarket, becoming overwhelmed and then having no clue what to buy so I would opt for jars, packets or premade meals. Anything quick that could either be thrown in the slow cooker, microwave or oven that required little to no effort on my behalf.
Fast forward about five months and I no longer feel guilty about taking time to look after myself. In fact I now realise that in order to be the best mum I can be I need to look after my health as well! I now take time out whenever I can to go for a run or to do my challenge exercises or the monthly challenges that often pop up from the private group. The most recent being The Tone Your Butt & Thighs Challenge which I have seen amazing results from! I strongly recommend if you haven’t tried it to do it. You won’t regret it. But by far the biggest change I have loved is the knowledge I am feeding my family healthy nutritious foods that have been made from scratch by me.
I’m looking forward to being a Motivating Mum in April, at the moment I have been stuck in a plateau however my measurements have still been dropping. My short term goal for April would be to lose another two kilos so I am well within the healthy BMI range for my height. Long term I still have about another ten kilos to lose and then a lot of toning but I know I will get there and aren’t really concerned about how long it takes as this isn’t a diet but a complete life style change now.
Cheers
Rebecca”
