I started my weight loss journey with the Lose Baby Weight plans when my fourth son was born (in four years) He was 2 months old and I was 89.4kg. I was bordering on the obese BMI category and now have lost 14.4kg and 66cm overall from my body and am in the normal BMI category.
My now six month old son is a very healthy 9kg.
I have used the Healthy Mummy Smoothies once or twice a day, the members area on the losebabyweight.com.au website and the weight loss recipes from the website and newsletter, the 28 day diet and exercise plan and the Spring/Summer Cookbook. After adjusting to the different ingredients I have started making our old favourite recipes but just tweaking them into a healthier version.
I kick started the exercise off with the summer challenge which was great for getting me going. I’m now looking forward to the next challenge starting in May.
I walk most days but have also started doing the Healthy Mummy Post Pregnancy exercise DVD and doing circuit exercises in the backyard with weights. My 3 year old loves telling me to go faster and harder and directing me to the next exercise. I have also found that the exercise has helped me manage my anxiety which has been out of control since my first son was stillborn at term.
At first it was tough, but now it is easy and my kids are shocking sleepers and I still fit it all in. Once you start finding ways to incorporate exercise into the life of a mummy then the rest follows with the help of the Healthy Mummy Team.
