‘After the birth of my third child in August 2014 I had a breakdown. I was suffering severe PND when I was admitted to hospital in November, until January 2015.
While trying to recover at home my weight ballooned to 88kg. I’d been struggling with my weight since I left high school, trying fad diets, losing a bit of weight quickly and then piling it all back on.
Come May I was at my heaviest, still severely depressed and hated myself.
I have hardly any photos of myself and my kids because I just couldn’t face the way I looked.
After a short stay in hospital again I knew it was time to change. I needed to look after myself better to be the mum my family needed.
I knew about Healthy Mummy and had been using the smoothies for a while along with other fad 1200 calorie diets that left me hungry, lethargic and did little to help my moods.

A friend inspired me to start the 28 Day Challenges and that’s when my life began. I joined in June and it’s the best thing I’ve done this year.

I’m always satisfied and have heaps of energy.
Even better I’ve lost 17kgs, dropped from a size 18 to a size 12, I’m strong and happy.
And most importantly so is my family. I run 5km now and succeeded at running it in under 30 minutes two weeks ago.
