We thought we’d give you a sneak peek of one of the delicious and easy to prepare 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge recipes to tantalise your tastebuds and give you an idea of how great the meal plans are throughout the Challenges.
The Tunisian Lemon & Chilli Lamb recipe below is great for a family dinner and so easy to prepare. You can adjust the chilli levels to suit you and your family’s tastes (as with all of the 28 Day Challenge recipes, they’re so easy to adjust to suit your needs).

Tunisian Lemon & Chilli Lamb

It’s not that hard to prepare tasty and healthy meals all the time. Using fresh ingredients and lean meats with a few flavours and spices is always a winner, just like this delicious lamb recipe. This recipe serves 1 so increase as you need to serve the whole family.


  • 1 teaspoon harissa paste (4 grams) (available in the spices/sauce aisle of the supermarket)
  • 10 mls lemon juice
  • 5 mls extra virgin olive oil
  • 140 grams lean, lamb steak
  • 1 cup of mixed lettuce leaves (30 grams)
  • 1 medium tomato (100 grams)
  • 1/4 Lebanese cucumbers (50 grams)
  • 1/4 fresh red chilli (2 grams)
  • 1/4 medium red onion (25 grams)
  • salt
  • pepper
PLEASE NOTE: When preparing recipes please use the specific ingredient quantities as outlined in brackets i.e. grams/mls etc. Measurement conversions e.g cup quantities or tablespoons are given as a guide only.

  • Pre-heat a non stick fry pan to medium-high heat.
  • Place the harissa, half the lemon juice and half the olive oil into a sandwich bag along with the lamb and coat well; transfer to the fry pan and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.
  • Meanwhile, thinly slice the red onion and fresh chilli, dice the tomato and cucumber. Toss together with the salad leaves, remaining lemon juice and oil and transfer to a serving plate and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the lamb steaks to the serving plate and enjoy.
  • Notes:- If you don’t have harissa, you can replace with any type of hot chilli sauce, for example, Peri Peri sauce or tabasco.Or if you don’t like your food too spicy, you could use BBQ sauce instead.
