Hi Lose Baby Weight, I Just thought id send in a recipe i tried yesterday for your smoothie of the week competition.
It’s especially good for those with high blood pressure as explained below. Its so yummy even bub wanted a go! Plus good news for me – I have lost 2kg in the first week!
Rebecca’s smoothie recipe
- 1 Pear
- 1 Passionfruit
- 1 tablespoon of homemade applesauce
- 200ml milk of choice (im a soy girl)
- 2 tablespoons vanilla healthy mummy smoothie powder
- 4 ice cubes
And Blend!
I love mixing up the variety of fruit I eat, and here’s a yummy way to have passionfruit! I love passionfruit as it is a really good source of
antioxidants like beta-carotene and vitamin c, and other minerals like potassium and iron.
In Australia it is very common for peoples diets to be high in sodium (salt) but low in potassium and this is a problem as potassium helps to reduce blood pressure that can increase with a high sodium intake.
The Applesauce is a yummy boost I add to each smoothie that gives it a little spice kick from the cinnamon, which is also great to help balance blood pressure.
