Hi everyone, it’s been great having the opportunity to be a Maintenance Mum this month.

I started following Lose Baby Weight and the 28 Day Challenges in August 2014 and lost 46kgs* in 11 months.

A little bit about myself, my name is Tawhai Duffy I am 31 years old and have a daughter who is 3.5 years old.

I have been maintaining my 46 kg* weightloss for the last few months.

The positive changes to my life and my family’s lives has been amazing! I have so much more energy, happier and healthier than I have ever been.

I never thought I would get to where I am today but following the 28 Day Challenges have helped me succeed.

One thing I wanted to talk about in my blog today was the fact it is ok to have a bad day or a bad week.

It doesn’t mean you have failed or not going to reach your goal. We all have these days or weeks but the most important thing is to try again, just take it one day at a time to make improvements to get back on track.

The tips that have helped me out are

  • Drink more water/lemon water I aim for 3 litres a day.
  • Meal Plan so you know exactly what you are eating during the day and less likely to binge or reach for unhealthy food.
  • Get rid of the unhealthy food in your house so you aren’t attempted and replace them with healthy treats from the 28 Day Challenge recipe hub. So you are still having delicious treats but they are good for you.
  • Exercise – even a walk around the block. The more you move the more you will want to move. If you time poor, have to fit exercise around your kids, aren’t able to leave the house The Healthy Mummy Post Pregnancy Exercise DVD is fantastic and is divided into 10 and 15 minute sections.
  • Eat your calorie allowance, if I am eating the right amount for my body I am less likely to have a binge

I’m a busy mum of three boys 5 and under. My partner works away so it’s my children and I by ourselves most of the time. So my time is very limited and I thought that the Challenge would be exactly that – a challenge.
BUT all the meals are already planned out for me, they take 10min max to prepare and even less time to eat them because they are soooooo delish that they don’t last long on my plate.
Even my fussy eating children love them!!!”
