Hi mummies, I’m Tania and I’m so excited to be a motivating mum for September. I have been following lose baby weight since July 2013 and have lost 17kg …. Twice!
Hopefully sharing my story will motivate some of you to reach your goals.
Lose Baby Weight- 17kg Loss

I first found lose baby weight when I was pregnant with my first child in 2013 and had gained almost 20kg only half way through my pregnancy. I was so depressed about my weight gain and desperately wanted to do something about it so I purchased the 28 Day Breastfeeding friendly diet and exercise plan and a tub of smoothie mix ready for after I’d given birth.
I weighed 80kg pre-baby, 4 months post baby I weighed in at 96kg and decided I was ready to start losing my baby weight.
I was always a person who skipped breakfast and made really bad decisions for lunch because I was starving hungry, but I tried to make small changes committed myself to have a smoothie every day for breakfast as I drove to work.
It was SO EASY and it worked SO WELL because the smoothies are so packed full of goodness that by lunchtime I was making much better choices.
For mums reading this, I feel like the hardest part was just starting and once you commit yourself to make one positive change (like trying the smoothies or the 28 day challenge) that other positive changes will naturally follow.
Setting goals helped me too, and the main one was that once I hit 80kg we could start trying for baby number 2!
I desperately wanted to be healthy and active before trying for another baby, especially to make sure I didn’t put on weight like I did with my first pregnancy.  Much to hubby’s surprise I hit 78kg when our daughter was 8 months old.
I had lost 18kg so far, so we started trying for baby number 2 a month later. Our daughter was such a good baby our motto was always “how hard can one more be?!”
Much to hubby’s surprise again (poor bloke!) I fell pregnant straight away (tested positive new year’s day ) and our 6 week scan revealed that I was pregnant with twins.

I was more determined than ever NOT to put on weight like I did last time.
Lose baby weight was more important to me now than ever, it helped me get through my twin pregnancy.
Because the smoothies are pregnancy and breastfeeding safe (I was pregnant and still breastfeeding my first) I had a smoothie for breakfast and lunch, and a recipe from the website for dinner. I loved checking in to the website every few days to read other motivating mum’s posts and felt the whole community kept me going.
In November 2014 3 months post twins I weighed 87kg, and needed a serious motivation kick. I joined the private Facebook group and was absolutely inspired by so many inspirational mums out there.
Whenever I’m feeling down or not on track, it’s so easy to jump on Facebook and instantly feel supported.
I also joined the 28 day challenge which has been amazing.  My children are the most important thing in the world, and the 28 day challenge recipes have truly opened my eyes to how easy it is to feed my family healthy food.
I love that the meal plans are customisable, I usually make a double batch of something and have leftovers to make it easier.
I am currently 70 kg and have lost 17kg this time around. I’m at a point where I don’t have “weight loss goals” anymore but I have fitness goals and lifestyle goals.
Lose baby weight is so much more than a diet or weight loss plan, it’s a lifestyle change. It’s so easy to follow and there is so much support and motivation.
If you only take one thing away from this post, it’s this…. Starting is the hardest part, make a decision, make a commitment, just do it.
I honestly don’t know where I’d be without lose baby weight.
