Ash Petroff, is one of our Motivating Mums for May, and she is sharing her tips on how to keep motivated on a daily basis when following a healthy eating and weight loss plan.  It’s all about breaking BIG goals down into small achievable pieces and celebrating every success.

“I must say,  this May stint as Motivating Mum is by far my best month yet! I’m having such an amazing experience motivating and encouraging all you amazing ladies. Your progress, weight loss, non-scale victories and just your enthusiasm is what is motivating me.
For this blog I wanted to talk about focusing on the day in front and not how far we have to go. We can often get caught up in where we want to be, our ultimate goal. I think it’s a great thing to have goals of what we want to achieve, but what about the small achievements along the way? We often forget about these because our head can jump around about what we haven’t achieved.

  • What about the fact that you have more energy?! AMAZING!
  • What about being able to get that towel around your whole body?! WONDERFUL!
  • What about being able to smile more and be confident?! YOU GO GIRL!
  • What about your kids making healthier choices for themselves?! YES! YES! YES!
  • What about looking in the mirror and being able to say what you love about yourself? IT’S WORTH IT!

I think my point is- enjoy every single milestone, every single achievement!
You are making changes big and small and every single one of those deserves to be celebrated. Don’t wait until your at goal weight to be proud. Shout it from the rooftops when you have achieved even something minor.
Changing our lifestyle is a huge battle, and we are all warriors, battling through, getting struck down at times, but the important part is we never stop. No chocolate cake will ever get in our way, no negative comment will ever stop us, if anything it should push us further along to where we want to be.
Release your inner warrior ladies and rise above it all, we are nearly half way through May and I’m going to be supporting you and battling with you all the way!!!”
