These Spiced Pineapple pieces make a delicious sweet treat that the whole family can enjoy for a healthy eating dessert that won’t ruin your post pregnancy weight loss plans

  • 1 fresh pineapple
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime (or a lemon)
  • 3 tbsp. runny honey
  • 200g fat free yoghurt
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 2 x pinches ground cinnamon and grated nutmeg


  1. Slice the top and bottom off of the pineapple, then carefully slice off the skin. Slice the pineapple in half lengthways, then remove the core with your knife. Slice each half into quarters, leaving you with 8 wedges of pineapple.
  2. Combine lime juice, half the lime zest, half the honey and half the cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Set to one side. Stir the rest of the cinnamon and nutmeg into the yoghurt.
  3. Heat the butter and remaining honey in a non-stick frying pan. Add the pineapple and cook for 8 minutes, turning regularly, until golden and caramelised. Add the spiced honey and lime mixture, let the liquid bubble for a few seconds and then divide between four plates. Pour any liquid from the pan over the pineapple.
  4. Sprinkle the pineapple with the remaining lime zest. Serve with the yoghurt on top.
