We absolutely loved trying out all the fabulous smoothie recipes that were sent in by mums all over the country.
Each week we will be asking mums to send in their smoothie recipe and a photo of them and the smoothie and each week we have the very tough job of picking a winner for a $100 Myer voucher.
But we had to pick a winner! And this week the $100 Myer voucher goes to Sarah Crisp who had the brilliant idea of adding in ginger and celery to her smoothie and I just LOVED this idea!!
So a big well done to Sarah and a big thank you for all the mums for sending in their smoothies – and keep the entries coming as next week another winner will be announced and you can send in as many smoothie entries as you like!
I love the smoothies and try to mix it up as much as possible to keep it interesting – this one i love not only because it tastes fantastic but because every fruit and veg in thermogenic or a superfood. Here is my recipe;
- 6 inch piece celery
- 1-2cm piece ginger
- 1 small apple
- 1 handful blueberries
- low-fat milk of your choice
- 2 x tbsp of The Healthy Mummy smoothie mix of your choice
Chop ginger and celery finely, roughly chop apple, add all ingredients to blender and whiz till smooth.
