These Raw Cacao Energy Bars are high in protein, antioxidants, fibre and are refined sugar free making them a great snack to include into your healthy eating plan or to try during the Reduce Sugar Challenge
Protein helps to keep you fuller for longer and also aids in muscle repair, making these bars perfect for a post workout snack
Ingredients
- 2 cups Almond Meal
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 3 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter
- 2 tbsp Cacao or Cocoa Powder
- 5 Medjool Pitted Dates
- 2 tbsp Boiling Water
Method
- Blend all ingredients together in a food processor except for the water
- Process until it is crumbly
- Slowly add your water while still mixing and blend until it becomes smooth
- Next firmly place mixture into a small slice tray and press down until spread evenly in the tray
- Let the bars set overnight in the fridge and slice into 20 Bars when ready to eat
- You can store these in the fridge in an airtight container
