I love to experiment with different recipes and flavours and as I am always short on time everything new I come up with has to be quick and easy to make and be low on the hassle level – as I am sure most mums will agree with too – which is why the Lose Baby Weight Plans are so easy to follow too!
So today I was looking what to make for dinner and after raiding the fridge I concocted a very tasty, easy and nutritious weight loss recipe that I am very pleased with – as was hubby! The recipe is below so give it a go some time this week and hope you enjoy too!
- Half a pack of soba noodles
- 2 x fresh limes
- 1 x lean steak cut into strips
- 1 x tbsp of freshly chopped or minced ginger
- 1 x tbsp of lemongrass paste
- 2 x crushed garlic cloves
- 2 x tbsp of soy sauce
- 2 chopped up pineapple rings
- 1 x finely chopped red chilli
- 2 x tbsp of white wine vinegar
- 1 x red onion
- 2 x cups of green salad leaves and shoots
- 2 x handfuls of green beans
- Sea salt and cracked black pepper
Slice the steak then squeeze over the juice of 1 lime and add lots of cracked black pepper and sea salt and leave to marinade for 10 minutes.
Next add the soy sauce, vinegar, lemon grass, chilli, ginger, garlic and juice of 1 lime into a bowl and mix well.
In a pan of water cook the soba noodles for approximately 10 minutes and add in the beans for the last 5 minutes
In a hot pan then cook the stead on a high heat.
When the soba noodles and steak is cooked add them both into a big bowl and mix over your oriental sauce, plus add in the pineapple and mix well. You can add more lime here if you need to.
Then plate up the noodles and top with your salad greens – drizzle with some vinegrette salad dressing or some more lime – DELISH
Serves two and approximately 450 calories per serve.
