Hi my name is Sammy and I am one of your Motivating Mums for March.
I first discovered Lose Baby Weight in April 2015 after having my 5th baby and have now been on my healthy mummy journey for the past 10 months. While following the challenges I have lost 13.5kg* and over 50cm* from my body.
The 28 day challenges have been very easy to adapt into my families lives and budget.
My last two pregnancies were not kind to my body. I had severe gestational diabetes and was insulin dependent, I also had HELLP syndrome and pre-eclampsia which really took its toll on my liver and I delivered my babies at 33 & 34 weeks. I needed to be healthy again; I need to be here for my kids.

With being overweight nearly my entire adult life and having a very busy schedule and household I was looking for something that was easy to use.
I took a giant leap and joined my very first challenge in May 2015! In this first month of the challenges I really concentrated on changing my food habits and I regained my passion of cooking with all the amazing yummy recipes in the challenges. The challenge recipes are so quick and easy to prepare and cook. Just what a busy mum needs.
The customisation of our meal plans and shopping list really helps me stick within my budget and I know we are all still eating healthy.
I introduced the Healthy Mummy Smoothies as my daily breakfast.
I had never successfully breast fed my first four children due to supply issues and was super determined to feed my little man. By introducing fruit and oats into them I was not only helping to fuel my body with so much goodness I had an increase in my supply.
They are a yummy, quick, nutritious meal I could have on the go. Ten months on and I absolutely adore the Healthy Mummy smoothies and the limitless combinations you can have or create. I am a smoothie addict.
After my first challenge I found I had an increase in energy and my clothes were getting looser, it was fantastic but I wanted more. So then came exercise.
What was exercise? I hadn’t exercised in years and was nervous and unsure as to where to begin so I started doing the online challenge exercises and got myself the Healthy Mummy Post Pregnancy Exercise DVD.
By doing a segment each morning and a light walk pushing bub every second day I could feel my body getting stronger. I went from this woman that didn’t like exercising to a woman that gets fidgety if I can’t exercise. I love the ‘feel good’ endorphins I get from exercising now!
I have now increased my exercise to boot camp 3 times a week and alternating the Healthy Mummy Post Pregnancy Exercise DVD and walks on the other days. I am currently teaching myself to run. I haven’t run since I was a kid J
I have recently been diagnosed with anxiety and this has been a huge challenge for me as I have always felt I am a strong person.
I have seeked the help I need and I have started taking the Healthy Mummy Fish Oil tablets. I find these help improve my moods and keep my anxiety at a low. Going for a daily walk is a great way to help clear your head and have ‘me’ time.
We are all human and can’t be perfect all of the time, while I still have bad days here and there weather it’s eating a sugar loaded bun or not feeling like getting off the couch tomorrow is another day and I just pick up where I left off the day before.
This is why I love the 28 day challenges it doesn’t matter how many times you fall off the wagon, the wagon is always there waiting for you!
Whilst I have come a long way I still have more to go and can’t wait to continue on my journey of becoming a healthier, stronger, fitter version of myself!
I am so glad I found Lose Baby Weight, it has changed my life.
