I am a mum to four gorgeous kids; three boys aged 9, 6 & 3 and a little girl 6 months old.
I first started with Lose Baby Weight in January of 2013 after the birth of my third son.
I had come to a point of self-awareness that something needed to change. The defining moment for me was when my then 6 year old (very innocently) called me ‘fat’.
I started by using the smoothies getting amazing results and then led into the 28 day plan and online Lose Baby Weight recipes.

I was getting the best results I had ever had in many years of trying to lose weight. I lost 18kg and from vague memory about 56cm off my body in only 4 months.
Then in June 2013 I was in a car accident that left me unable to exercise for a few weeks. A shoulder injury and lower back injury that then prevented me (still to this day) from getting back into the gym routine I had grown to love.
It was one of those things….going to the gym kept me motivated to eat well & eating well kept me motivated to exercise.
Having that taken away after so many years struggling to get to the place of determination I was in, sent me into a depression.
This made me lose sight of what I was working so hard towards. A healthier and better lifestyle to be the best mum and partner I could be. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t give up completely but I lost that drive.
I put back on 9kgs and was not feeling good about myself.
Then in 2014 I found out (as a HUGE surprise) that I was pregnant with my fourth child. I knew then I had to do this.
THM-Smoothie-Subscription-300-250I started back up on my pregnancy smoothies, making healthier choices and walking the kids to school whenever possible. I put on the least amount of weight compared to with my boys.
Then my little girl was born. I was 2kg lighter than pre-pregnancy and felt the motivation come back. As soon as I had found my groove with the crazy scheduling of four kids I signed up for the 28 day challenges in July of 2015.
I love starting my day with a smoothie, its quick and easy and gets me focused for the day ahead.
The ‘Sneaky Snickers’ & ‘Green Booster’ smoothies would have to be my two favourites. A must try!
The recipes each month on the challenges have been so easy to follow.
I customise my plan to suit my family and I and what we like. But to be honest most of the recipes have been a huge hit.
The kids don’t always eat the ‘exact’ recipe but I will use the same ingredients and make them kid friendly as with three boys its not always that easy to please everyone. They are getting better though and I have noticed even a huge change in their demeanor. They are not as hyped up and are more focused in all areas.
The first 28 day challenge saw me lose 12cm off my body. My energy was back, I was sleeping better and I felt happier and healthier.

My partner and 3 boys have been so supportive and every time my eldest would say “Mummy I can see your tummy getting smaller” it ignited that fire even more.
Now after three challenges I have lost a total of 35cm off my body and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t like to weigh myself as I feel that the scales do not always give the true results I achieve.
The mums on this page and the Lose Baby Weight support team have helped remind me of what this amazing program can do for you.
It isn’t just a fad diet or a quick fix. It’s a lifestyle change. I love that I do not feel like I am ‘missing out’ on eating like a ‘normal’ person. Especially being that food is my weakness.
I think that’s what I have learnt most. Food is the key.
Don’t get me wrong, exercise is a big part of it too, but what good is it if you don’t give your body the fuel it needs to recover and sustain a healthy change.
The other thing I have learnt is to not give up. If you fall off the wagon, that’s ok, we are all human. It’s getting back up and pushing through those hard times to continue to focus on yourself.
My exercise consists of walking the kids to school, coastal walks and squats, squats and more squats!
I hope during this month I can help motivate you all. As I know that you will all continue to motivate me with all your amazing progress and stories.
