I am so very excited to be a motivating mum for the month of July, I hope that my story and progress can help motivate and inspire everyone! I have lost 38.5 kg by following the Lose Baby Weight 28 day challenge plans and smoothies.
I am mum of an almost three year old and have always been on the larger side. My pregnancy was high risk and I was told not to put any weight on, I went from 112kg up to130kg + by the end.
When a friend added me to the Lose Baby Weight support group page, I didn’t know what she was really introducing me to, but I am very thankful that she did.
Being a larger mum, when starting I was 137.5kgs. I found reading posts from mums that were at or started at or around my weight easier to connect with. This is one of my goals for being a motivating mum, I want to help inspire all mums but especially ones that are/were around the same starting weight ( If I can do it so can you!!!)
What I love about the Lose Baby Weight program is that is so simple the recipes are really super easy and yummy!!
I have followed other plans in the past and they were so complicated and it didn’t change eating or cooking habits as foods mainly came from packets.
The 28 challenge hub and meal planning has changed my eating, cooking and shopping habits. The closed support group are non judgemental and have always got helpful information and advice.
I love that this is a plan where you don’t have to use the smoothies if they aren’t to your liking. I love that they are filling and have no nasties in them, for someone who didn’t really eat breakfast they have made making this new habit a lot easier and more satisfying.
I have 2-3 smoothies a week usually on work days as I walk around the house getting my son and myself ready.
In September 2013 at my son’s birthday there were a few photos of me that I didn’t like nor did they make me feel like a happy mummy , so I made myself a promise that by his next birthday I wasn’t going to be the same weight!
My starting weight was 137.5kgs. By his 2nd Birthday I lived up to the promise and had lost 10kg. My current weight it 99.0kgs and my goal is 70kg which I would like to be by around September / October 2015 9 months on, my eating and exercise habits have changed so much.
The 28 day weight loss challenge has taught me how to be make better food choices, it has provided structure and routine as well as teaching me how to make better choices if something happens to that structure and routine, for example in a food court at a shopping centre.
Exercise wasn’t easy at the start but the more I stuck to it the better it has gotten, who knew I could run/walk 3km in 25mins.
With this month’s 28 day challenge being about budget meals not only am setting myself a weight loss goal of 3-4kg, I’m going to set a budget goal and try to stick to it, I also plan to change things up this month as I usually walk/run on the treadmill, but I might see if I can fit a few trips to the gym and maybe a group class in somewhere in the budget!
