Hi Ladies! I have lost an amazing 13.8kg with Lose Baby Weight and today I wanted to talk to you all about memories.

Memories are an amazing phenomenon. We can attach so much value to particular memories. Once such set of memories is the period just before my wedding. It was 11 years ago. I was the lightest I had been as an adult (67kg) I felt amazing.
I felt sexy and desired. I was comfortable in my skin. I had a positive body image.
Two weeks before my wedding I had photographs with my husband-to-be to be displayed at the wedding.
I wore a fitted top and a new pair of jeans that I LOVED. That was the first and only time that I wore those jeans.
5 weeks after I got married I became pregnant with my eldest child. For some reason, despite being unable to fit into them, I held onto those jeans.
Despite moving interstate to a tropical climate where there was no need for jeans, I held onto them. I don’t think I ever expected to wear them again. However they represented something priceless to me….that memory of a positive body image.

Fast forward 11 years that feeling, was becoming less of a distant memory.
I had found Lose Baby Weight and for “the-first-time-in-forever” I was becoming comfortable in my skin.
After 3 pregnancies and two babies my skin looked different than all those years before.
I had learnt the art of picking yourself up again and again, and starting yet again. I had regained my passion for delicious nutrient dense food and my commitment to exercise, through the Lose Baby Weight 28 Day challenges.
It was slow going. I checked my BMR with the Lose Baby Weight calculator, and despite logically knowing that I was reducing body fat as I consumed the correct calories to fuel my body, my commitment and hard work was not reflected in big numbers on the scales.
It was official. The scales and I were not friends!
This initially caused me tremendous frustration. However I knew that I had to realign my goals with health and happiness; if I was to move closer to that memory becoming reality.
I began to use measurements, clothes, photos and quality time running, jumping on the trampoline, and playing with my children, as indicators of success.
This helped me stay motivated and focused on the reasons I was changing my lifestyle and developing healthy habits.

I had hoped that by the end of the July Challenge that I would dare to put on those jeans.
I am ecstatic to reveal however that with the help of the amazing meals and challenge exercises, I have exceeded my hopes, and that memory is now a reality.
Despite being 4kgs heavier and still wrestling with feeling sexy or desired, I have a positive body image once more….and those jeans are no longer packed away in a box. I am wearing them proudly!!
I can not wait to see what the next two weeks of the challenge brings!
