Hi Healthy Mummies! I have lost 24kg with Lose Baby Weight and am one of the June motivating mums.
What a great month June has been! Packed full of amazing recipes and motivation from the Lose Baby Weight team and support groups.
After my half marathon was over in May I decided June was the time to start focusing on toning and strength training, whilst still including 3 running sessions per week. I had a special occasion (my birthday!) to squeeze into a super tight dress… Who would have thought it! This time last year I was 24kg heavier and I wouldn’t have even considered something tight!
Things I did to get into shape in the two weeks leading up to the event:
– The lose baby weight DVD to tone my body 3-4 times a week and extra crunches
– HIIT training exercises on the 28 day challenge
– Avoiding diet soft drink, bread, salty food and slightly reducing my portions.
– Using recipes from the 28 day challenge
– Drinking lots of water to prevent water retention and bloating
I’ve been trying to take it easy over the past week as I’ve come down with a throat and chest infection but eating healthy and keeping active to a reasonable level has helped me recover quicker and better
