Motivating Mum Casey Jones has lost an incredible 12kgs with Lose Baby Weight and shares how the plans have helped her.
I started Lose Baby Weight with my first 28 Day Challenge on 1st September 2014 weighing in at 82kg with a waist of 95cm.
Like a lot of you, I have faced some up and downs along the way but I currently weigh around 70kg with a waistline of 82cm.
I’m 12kg down and have gone from a tight size 16 to a comfortable size 12-14.
I was reluctant to join Lose Baby Weight at first as I had tried many other fad diets in the past but I quickly discovered that this program is very different to anything else out there.
There is no starving yourself, no magic pills; it’s all just healthy clean living, tailored to each individual and it’s completely ‘mum friendly’.
I’ve never been much of an active person and even now I still find it hard to make time to exercise but with Lose Baby Weight I have learnt that you don’t need a $1,000 a year gym membership or 2 hours a day to workout.
It’s all about balance, as much as it is a juggling act most of the time being a busy mum. I have learnt to be flexible and that a simple 10 minutes here and there is still better than no exercise at all 🙂
As far as the diet side of things, Lose Baby Weight has opened my eyes to a whole new world of delicious nourishing food. Not only are the meals good for you and easy to prepare, they taste fantastic! I can honestly say that I actually enjoy cooking now.
Being a Motivating Mummy during the January 28 day challenge has been a great experience. I wasn’t sure about applying to start with but now I am so glad I did. It really helped get me back on track after I indulged a little too much during the silly season and now I am more focused and dedicated than ever.
I still have at least 5kg to lose yet (and then will reassess the situation once I see how I feel).
During this challenge I decided to relax on the calorie counting a little as I was starting to become obsessed. Instead I simply decided to stick to a meal plan of a Healthy Mummy Smoothie for breakfast, Lose Baby Weight recipes for lunch and dinner, and fruit or other healthy snacks for morning and afternoon tea, with an intake of about 1400-1500 calories/day.
After following this plan I found that my weight loss hasn’t been as significant as previously but it HAS been a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
It has also put my mind to rest about any fears of piling all the weight back on once I ease up on the calorie counting.
And even through this approach I have managed to lose about 3kg this challenge 🙂
Lose Baby Weight has completely changed the way I feel about myself. Not only am I more comfortable and confident in my own skin, I am much more aware of the foods that I choose to fuel my body with.
Prior to starting with Lose Baby Weight I wouldn’t have given a second thought to eating sugary or fatty foods whenever I wanted. And don’t get me wrong, I do still allow myself a treat or two here and there but after 5 months of clean eating I feel like my brain has been reprogrammed (so to speak).
Not only that, I no longer crave all those bad foods I used to eat. It was almost as though the more crap I ate, the more I wanted to eat!
Now I actually find myself WANTING to eat fresh fruit and vegetables instead of a packet of chips – something I never thought I would ever do.
I also never thought I’d be a smoothie-for-breakfast kind of girl but I have to admit that since being given the opportunity to try the smoothies this month, as part of being a Motivating Mum, I honestly love it so much I can’t imagine ever eating another breakfast ever again lol
There are so many delicious smoothie recipes to choose from but if you are going to try just one you HAVE TO try the Sneaky Snickers Smoothie. It is to die for! Hard to believe that something that tastes soooooo good is actually good for you! And that’s what I love about Lose Baby Weight.
I am so thankful to Rhian and the Lose Baby Weight team for creating such an easy, life-changing program and of course to all the mummies on the Facebook group who help inspire and motivate me and others everyday! I couldn’t have done it without you.
If there is one thing I have learnt through my weight loss journey so far it is not to be too hard on yourself and just to take things one step at a time.
I think one of the main reasons I have found success with this program is because it’s not just a diet but a way of life. It’s about making small changes overtime and counting your small wins as you go.
And it’s ok if you have a slip up here and there – life is meant to be enjoyed – everything in moderation. So don’t beat yourself up over it, you have the rest of you life to be healthy and happy 🙂
Thanks,
Casey
