My name is Andrea and I am one of the Motivating Mums for August. I am a Mum of three Kids and first discovered Lose Baby weight in September 2014 when my youngest was a few weeks old.

Since discovering lose baby weight and the Healthy mummy smoothie range last September I have lost 30kg and gained a whole new lease on life.
As I have been following the lose baby weight program and doing the challenges that now run monthly I have learnt so much about a healthy life style and have had amazing success which has been beyond what I thought possible.
With that success I have also discovered the other side of major weight loss I have discovered that my body although I have lost a lot of weight my body is not like I imagined it would be. I have lose skin and my breast are very rapidly disappearing (why does it all have to go from there).
Recently it has come more and more obvious that some area’s on my body that I have been working hard to rid are not actually fat but lose skin. The realisation came to me one night when I was working out in a crop top and I was planking and I looked down an saw that I had a saggy tummy that was almost touching the floor, this nearly broke me ( I did shed a few tears)but I then stopped and thought about it a little deeper.
Yes I do have loose skin but I have only a small amount which I am so very grateful for and generally I can hide it in the clothes or underwear I wear, I know of many other woman who have a lot more and in comparison I don’t really have anything to complain about.
I then stopped and actually thought about why I have loose skin, I have loose skin because my body has undergone some massive changes, my body has grown three children it has gone up and down in weight drastically and in the past 11 month has dropped 30kg. This is going to have a massive effect no matter what weight I started or what body shape or type I am.
Three babies on its own wether I had lost weight or gained weight is a massive achievement let alone losing the weight.
So I decided I need to look at it a different way, I needed to look at nourishing my body with great nutrition which I am able to do easily with the lose baby weight program so that as I work on my body I know I am nourishing it so it can continue to heal.

I have also researched about lose skin and discovered that one of the best ways to help with minor lose skin is to build muscle; this is something that I have been working on because my Ultimate goal is to have abs.
I have been doing the Challenge exercises, the DVD and I have also been running. My stomach area is my main focus so I do a lot of Sit ups, crunches, Russian twists and anything else I can think of to work my abs and core. I have also religiously started taking the healthy mummy fish oil tablets which I love because they are fairly small compared to a lot of others.
Fish oil is really good for your skin and general health so I am getting lots of benefits from these. I have also been moisturising my skin daily and this is also making a difference.
Since I have started taking these steps I am already noticing an improvement and as time goes by it will improve even more.
But I have also learnt that my body will never be perfect like a model we see in magazines because most of these women are so heavily photo shopped that it is setting me up for major disappointment.
I have started to really focus my mind on loving the skin I am in even if it is a little saggy; it is the skin that helped bring three amazing children into this world that in itself is a big reward.
So as you begin or continue your journey be thankful for what your body has achieved and thankful that you are in the process of improving it, it is often a battle against our own thoughts but in the end we need to love the skin we are in.
Lose baby weight is teaching me this in new ways everyday and that is a lesson I am very grateful for.
