As well as containing lots of nutrients, berries are very low in calories and are high in fibre. For example, one cup of strawberries contains over 100 milligrams of vitamin C- plus they also contain magnesium, calcium poassium and folate and contain only 53 calories.
One cup of blueberries offers a smaller amount of vitamin C, minerals and phytochemicals for only 83 calories. The same amount of raspberries offers vitamin C and potassium for 64 calories.
Mixed Berry Smoothie Ingredients
- 250ml skim milk
- 2tbsp Strawberry Healthy Mummy Smoothie Mix
- 1/4 cup frozen mixed berries
- 2tbsp oats
- Few Ice Cubes
Blend for a few mins – it tastes like a milkshake
