My name is Leonie and I’m a 30 year old mum to 2 beautiful girls aged 5 & 2. I started the Lose Baby Weight plans in February 2014, 7 months after my second daughter was born. I have lost 7kg and 35.5cm from my body using the Lose Baby Weight plans and I have maintained my current weight for over 6 months now.
I have been struggling with portion sizes lately, usually finishing my plate of food and then eating the kids’ leftovers. I need to get my mind around food wastage as this is a big issue for me!!
I have been getting creative with leftovers though and have been saving bits and pieces for different meals. For example, we had Chicken Parmiagiana from the 28 Day Challenge (a HUGE hit with the family, they all demolished it!) last week and we had some sauce leftover.
So the next day for lunch I made zucchini pasta and added bacon, garlic, spring onion, diced veggies and baby spinach to make a new delicious meal! This is one huge thing I love about all Lose Baby Weight meals is how versatile they can be!
Exercise wise I have been doing the Healthy Mummy DVD when I get 10-15 minutes to myself, walking around the lake while waiting for my daughter’s ballet class to finish, and dragging the family around our new neighbourhood to explore the park near us.
Will definitely be incorporating the last one into our regular weekly routine as the kids had so much fun and I got to run around the oval! I am also getting back into Aquarobics classes now that we are settled in our new house.
I may not have lost as much weight as some other mums on these plans but I have always struggled with my weight throughout my adult life. I had a very unhealthy first pregnancy so was determined to have a healthier second pregnancy and I started making healthier choices.
However it wasn’t until I found Lose Baby Weight that I have finally got the mindset I needed to stick to! I love that we are living a much healthier lifestyle now and that I don’t need to “diet” to do so. I also love the fact that I can indulge in guilty pleasures and not feel guilty anymore!
My goals for the rest of the month are to finally finish my Nutrition course and to keep inspiring other mums to do their best. Thanks for reading!
