Ingredients

  • 250gm dried pitted dates
  • 140gms dried apple
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Coconut for rolling- optional

 Method

  • Cover the dried dates with boiling water and let sit for 45mins
  •  Drain the dates and place all ingredients in a blender/food processor and mix until well combined
  •  If the mixture isn’t combining add a bit of water at a time making sure not to add to much as the mixture will become too wet
  •  The apple will still be lumpy which is what you want
  •  With wet hands roll the mixture into 22 balls and roll in the coconut (optional)
  •  Place in the fridge to set
  • They can also be frozen and then defrost in the fridge as needed
