I am Lizzie and I am so excited to be a July Motivating Mum. For those of you who don’t know me, I have been following Lose Baby Weight plans since November 2012. I have lost 13kg and 23cm from my waist, 14 cm from my bust and 12cm from my hips.
I am an ongoing challenge member and I do often switch between the free recipes and the challenge members recipes but I have had success doing both or one or the other.
When I have been time poor, I have been really relieved knowing that I am able to customise my meal plan for the week, based on what I already have on hand.
Since starting in November, I am finding that I am starting to feel more confident in my ability to make more educated food choices.
If I do make a poor choice, I don’t get depressed about it anymore, I simply return to my Lose Baby Weight food that is healthy and nutritious and/or I will put that energy into some exercise and redeem myself.
Another great option for us busy mummies is the 28 Day challenge exercises.
They are great if you looking for a structured tool to help you on your way and they don’t require much time from you. I have found them to be good little heart starters and leave me feeling like I have worked.
So how did I get here, quite simply …I made poor choices!
I was in new mum survival mode. I was unhappy with my weight, how I looked and I was unfit.
Which as we can all appreciate impacted other areas of my life. So I took back control of myself and started exercising again and commenced Lose Baby Weight.
I also work in a job that requires me to be fit and healthy so that was a big motivator to get fit and healthy again before returning to work after 12 months off.
Within weeks I felt the difference and my body just jumped at the opportunity. I am finally feeling like the old me is back and I am so much healthier and fitter these days.
I have returned back to work in the last couple of months, so I am now transitioning from being a stay at home mummy on maternity leave to a working (part-time) mummy, and a temporary single mummy as my hubby is away with work.
I have to say that without Lose Baby Weight, I would be struggling!
Thankfully all of the things I have learnt along the way are coming to fruition now. Such things are being prepared by cooking meals and healthy snacks in advance.
I know this sounds very simple but for me in the past I just wasn’t prepared nor did I realise that it would save me in so many ways in the long run!
So ladies I am really looking forward to being a motivating mum this month. As the month goes on it is definitely my goal to give it 100% and hopefully help you get to your goals.
