We only have a month and a bit until summer rolls around now. And I am very pleased with the results so far.
Since starting this particular challenge I have lost almost another 3 kgs. This number is huge for me as it takes me to a 15 kg loss overall, but more importantly it is the kick start I needed.
I started using Lose Baby Weight in June 2014.
I lost roughly 10 kg in the first 6 months, by using the challenges, and walking. I remember my first walk was when my baby was 9 weeks old.
I loaded him in the carrier and my other two boys in the double pram and walked to the supermarket and back, which is roughly 3 km return.

I walked every single day, rain or shine I was out there, usually 5km but sometimes I would just walk and walk and walk. We all loved it.
At the beginning of this year my weight loss halted, which I thought I was ok with as I was at my goal weight of 58kg.
I still walked but I was not as passionate about it as I had found running.
Which I absolutely adored. In order to run I needed hubby home to watch the kids and he started working really long hours so running went out the door, so I moved my focus to the DVD that I could do at any time throughout the day.
Last weekend I walked. I walked further than I thought I could ever do. A 35KM hike through the Dandenong’s, 8.5 hours of almost uphill the entire time walking.
It was by far the hardest physical feat I have ever done.

The past year or so of walking had been my preparation but I don’t think you can fully prepare for such an enormous task.
But guess what? I did it, enjoyed doing it, embraced the blisters and extremely sore legs for days after and I am so incredibly proud of myself.
I am almost to my goal weight, just over a kg to go, but this isn’t the end of my journey.
It’s just the beginning, now I know I can push myself to do things I thought were impossible so there is no stopping me now.
And regardless of the number I see on the scales I can do whatever I put my mind to.
Things that used to make me nervous about no longer do. I am constantly stepping out of my comfort zone to try things and there is yet to be something I haven’t enjoyed.
That is the end of sitting on the side lines for me!!
