I’m Lisa, 30 years old and a mum to 3 little boys aged 1, 2 and 3. I have lost 13kg with Lose Baby Weight.

I started my journey to a better me (I don’t like to think of it as just about weight loss) in June 2014, 9 weeks after having my third baby. I was not very active during my pregnancies and because I wanted 3 close together I didn’t bother to lose the baby weight in between babies.
So I found myself weighing 70.5 kg and extremely unhappy with how I felt and how I looked in the mirror.
I started by using Lose Baby Weight smoothies for breakfast and lunch, and walking, which is not just ‘walking’ when I was pushing a double pram and carrying a baby on my front.
To begin with it was a few kms a day until I was walking between 30 – 50km a week. Many days in the week were ‘walking’ dates with friends that are on their own journeys.
I lost majority of the weight within the first 6 months. Not only was I looking better but I had a newfound confidence and appetite for life.
I used the challenges to keep the momentum and motivation up, as well as the support group and I was very strict with my eating in the first few months.

I gave myself mini rewards for each goal reached- New clothes, new runners, a massage. Little things that gave me something to aim for. I started aiming for things that I would have never thought to be achievable.
First it was running 4km, then it was 10km, next was Run for the Kids 15.5km. Running has become a passion, an outlet from hectic life with 3 crazy boys at home full time.
I also used the Lose Baby Weight DVD for the toning aspect of my workouts. It is always in the DVD player ready to go for when I have 10 minutes spare. And I have recently added weight training to my workout routines.
I weigh 57.3 kg right now, which has been my weight for around 6 months now. My next goal is 54 kg, and I will get there. I know that I owe my results to Lose Baby Weight because along with the products the support group has kept my on track, and each and every women has inspired me to continue on this life long journey.

With only a few short months until summer my top tips include

  1. WATER- drink up, all day everyday
  2. Move your body every day, even if it for a few short minutes, your mind, body and soul will thank you for it.
  3. Make good choice 80% of the time. I can on speak for myself, but I cannot be good ALL THE TIME. I need a treat every so often, this has been the key to my success. If it wasn’t for that little chocolate bar once a week I think I may have given up the first week in and as long as you are making healthy choice majority of the time, you can indulge occasionally. This is a life style change after all.
  4. Know your BMR. The weeks that I have not eaten enough are the weeks I have held onto weight. Make sure you are eating enough to fuel your body.
  5. Love yourself. No matter what stage you are at in your life/journey embrace it. Once you love the person you are, wonderful things will happen.
