Hello lovelies
My name’s Lauren and I’m a 31 yr old working mum to a 2.5yr old (actually he’s getting closer to being a 3yr old!!) and have lost 27kg with Lose Baby Weight.
I started Lose Baby Weight in June 2014, nearly 11 months ago and a bit before my son was turning 2. I heard about Lose Baby Weight through a friend just before the July challenge started and thought I’d bite the bullet and give it a go. I had to do something; my weight was going up and up!
I initially started at 110kg with a goal weight of 80kg, so 30kg to lose. It seemed pretty overwhelming when I looked at it like that. Instead I broke it down to 5kg increments and I joined the closed facebook support group. Best decision ever! The support I get from the amazingly wonderful and inspirational mums in the group is second to none; it’s such a fabulous community to be part of.
I’m proud to say that by following the lose baby weight plans (I have a 28 day challenge subscription and have done each challenge since I started) I have lost 27kg and am now 12kg under my pre-pregnancy weight and the weight I was when I got married.
I feel confident and I can walk into a shop and chose multiple items to try on off the rack – coming from a size 20+ that feels amazing!!!
I still have a Healthy Mummy smoothie for breakfast on work mornings because I find them super convenient (I get all ingredients out the night before, along with my days food to take to work, so it’s just 5 mins to combine and blend in the morning) and they are just so delish!!
I’m also loving the challenges because, with hundreds of recipes to choose from, and more added every 2 months, we never get bored and meal planning is the best!
My weight loss has certainly slowed recently, but the changes in my body and fitness continue to improve.
For the past month I also had my wrist in a cast after a fall at basketball – but thanks to the challenges I was able to find exercises I could do and I continued my running and bootcamps. It really showed me how much my mental approach has changed since I started – there was no thoughts of ‘meh I’ll just take it easy’ I continued to work hard to get closer to my goals.
Certainly there have been bumps along the road, as Chuck Norris says:
“Anything worth achieving will always have obstacles in the way and you’ve got to have the drive and determination to overcome those obstacles on route to whatever it is that you want to accomplish.”
I have 3 more kilos to get to my goal weight and I’m looking forward to the May Belly Buster challenge to get me even closer to that goal!
