Keryn Banks has lost an incredible 14kgs with Lose Baby Weight and becomes a Motivating Mum for February.

I am a 28 year old mum. I have had three children. I gave birth to a stillborn 4 and half years ago. I also have a 3.5 year old daughter and a 5 month old son. I breastfeed my son, work 20 + hours per week, study a diploma and I am planning my wedding which is in October.
I starting trying to lose my baby weight 6 weeks after my son was born and starting at 88 kilograms. (The photos are of me at 84kgs). It has been 4 months and I have lost 14 kilograms.
I still have another 10 kilograms to lose then to tone up. I want to lose 5 kilograms by my engagement party in late march and the rest by my wedding. But I am so happy with the amount that I have lost. I can’t believe how my confidence has increase with me losing weight.
Now that I have lost some of my weight, I plan my day around my run. When I first started to lose my weight, I would walk around the block. I now run 5-7 times per week for at least 40 mins. I started at walking a kilometre in 10 minutes and now I can run a kilometre in 5 mins and 27 seconds. I do Zumba once a week. I can keep up with my children and not feel out of breathe when playing with them.

When you need a sweet pick me up, the desserts hit the spot. And what makes the plans even more stress-free is that the recipe are for one serving so if you have a picky eater in the family, you can cook just for yourself.
I cook the meals for my other half and daughter and all the meals have been a hit. I have not cooked any meals that they have not liked and normally my other half is very picky.
I love using the Lose Baby Weight website for storing all my weight loss information as it is all in the same place and I can see how much I have lost, not just in weight but also with measurements.
I enjoy a Healthy Mummy Smoothie every day and find that they do not have a powdery tastes like most shakes have. I add spinach, celery and carrot to the mixed berries and they taste divine.
Due to my healthy eating, I no longer drink soft drink or cordial but I still enjoyed my cup of coffee. This month, I am going to cancel out my one coffee a day and going to try a new way to exercise each week starting with the 1000 steps in Ferntree Gully. I make sure that every hour that I am awake I do 1000 steps. Its only active walking for 10 minutes each hour. It adds up by the end of the day.
I wear a fitbit as well as a forerunner garmin 15 to keep track of my steps each day. I aim for 18,000 steps each day. If I am watching tv, I get up every ad and make sure that I do at least 100 steps. Every steps counts
One of the most massive changes that I have made is when my friends and I have a gathering we use to sit around and eat bad food. Now we all go for a walk and I make healthier snacks.
I love the compliments that people say to me but the best feeling of all is when my healthy food choices rub off on my daughter. We no longer have fast food for a quick lunch we make salads or wraps. She helps do our meal plan each week.
But the absolutely best thing about Lose Baby Weight is the support that the other mums give to one and other. I never feel intimidated by this group. People share the experience and advice which helps everyone feel like we are not alone in this weight lose journey.
