Hi my name is Kayleen and I have lost 20kg with Lose Baby Weight and am on board as one of your motivating mums for the 100 days to summer countdown.
I had started lose baby weight in July 2014 sitting 108 kgs totally just eating how I felt and what was most convenient as I’m a busy full time mum to a beautiful 3 year old boy, not to mention I was am big emotional eater.
Since becoming a 28 day challenge member I have realised ways to cope with my stress and anxiety and that of course involved making healthier food choices and involving exercise into my daily routine.
I joined the challenges starting in September 2014 and this was the month I also joined Michaela in her 100 day active challenge. I followed the challenge and conquered so many goals over the past year , I have determination I never knew I had and I have this amazing program to be thankful for it has certainly saved my life and turned it full circle into a much happier healthier one.
I have gone from being a non runner to now smashing out 3 half marathons and found my love for running in all types of events including trail and triathlons.
I’m not fast but I do it for the fun and it definitey keeps me active and sane.
Without starting the 28 day challenge or Michaela 100 day active challenge I doubt I will be where I am today , which also includes currently 20 kgs lighter at 88 kg and have been bouncing around 88-90 for a little while and I had gone down to 86.4 kg back earlier this year but then I hit a roadblock with injury, but overall I am a much healthier happier mummy and wife.
Now I am trying to get back on wagon to work on getting to my next goal weight of 80 kgs, so far this has been a big long task but I’m determined to get there.
This along with toning up and for my mummy tummy to shrink as it is my most conscious part I’m still not happy with. My anxiety levels are so much more under control now since starting with lbw, I still have ups and downs but 100 % better then before.
As I’m a busy full time working mum of one the challenge meals is fantastic and so easy to make quickly. Also it’s fantastic have many of the recipes can be alternated and substituted for allergies and what food I have in fridge.
The smoothies are awesome to make grab and go for the those busy days . I have learnt how to be more organised and have a prep time on the weekend to get myself ready for the week ahead.
My top 5 tips for getting ready for summer
- choose a goal whether it diet related or exercise related and to work towards it.
- choose a motivational outfit like swimmers or something u been wanting to try but think your never going to fit in it.
- pick a prep day and make most if it prepping for week ahead
- If you fall off your plans just get back on wagon and keep going and remain focus and don’t give up.
- ensure to keep water intake up and stay dehydrated. Drinking water is a major contributor for weight loss.
