My name is Jodie and I’m 33 years old. I’m 168cms tall, a mother of three and I’m super excited to be one of the Maintenance Mums for Lose Baby Weight!
I’ve successfully lost 35kgs over ten months using a mix of the Lose Baby Weight smoothies, plans and 28-Day Challenges.

I’ve been maintaining my current weight of 63kgs for eight months. Although the scales haven’t moved much these last eight months, I’ve managed to drop another dress size and I’ve also continued to lose centimetres.
The monthly Challenges have been integral during both my weight loss and maintenance phases.
I’ve been a member since their inception a year ago and I’ve found they have kept me accountable and motivated. The recipe hub is an invaluable tool as it has all of the recipes from past Challenges and I use it at least once a day.
The daily exercises have me working up a sweat and I love the pilates component for lengthening and strengthening my muscles.
When I reached my goal weight in October last year I was ecstatic but I hadn’t given much thought as to how I was going to keep the weight off for good – in fact, I was worried that as soon as I stopped losing weight that it would come creeping back.

I had gotten so used to watching the scales go down that it felt wrong for them to be staying at the same number. It took me a few months to get a balance between my nutrition and exercise so that my weight didn’t fluctuate.
After recalculating my BMR I soon realised that I didn’t need to keep up my daily high intensity exercise sessions and that I could eat more calories than when I was actively trying to lose weight. This was a wonderful revelation because I REALLY like food!
Baking and cooking new things are what I enjoy and I can’t wait for all the fabulous new budget-friendly recipes in the July 28-Day Challenge.
Like most families we shop to a budget, so being able to eat healthily whilst not breaking the bank is important. At the moment I’m loving making recipes from the Winter Cookbook to help warm us up on these freezing country Victoria nights.
The Mexican-Style Lasagna is a firm favourite with our kids and I love knowing that they are getting a big serve of vegetables.
Smoothies will feature heavily in July for me. Now that the weather is cold I love a warm smoothie for breakfast or as an after dinner snack. The Apple Crumble & Cream Smoothie and the Chocolate Doughnut Smoothie are my absolute favourites warmed up.
Hopefully I’ll find a new favourite this Challenge as well as continue to maintain my weight.
This month, I can’t wait to show mums that Lose Baby Weight really is a lifestyle change and that it’s not just a ‘quick fix’. Maintaining your goal weight after working so hard for it is extremely rewarding.
I hope that I can motivate others to push through to reach their weight loss goal, and to keep pushing into the maintenance stage.
